Alternative apartment. Old Venetian school changed is a cosy place to sleep!

Spacious loft in the heart of the Old Town of Chania. Imaginative yet practical, this fully equipped apartment features top location plus garden and quiet. The home doubles as a creative multiuse space in the winter, which is reflected in its unique look and feel.
Located in the center of the Old Town, this loft space offers the best of both worlds—location and quiet at the same time. On a pedestrian street within walking distance from all the major monuments of the Old Town, including the Venetian Port, the covered Central Market, the Cathedral Square, as well as the city’s archaeological and Byzantine museums, mosque, and synagogue, and only 10 minutes from the central bus station, this is a perfect starting point for all that Chania has to offer.
Experience the appeal and creativity of this downtown Chania Old Town loft space, which doubles as a multi-use art space in the winters. My original inspiration in creating this space was to promote the spirit of DIY as well as that of recycling, which ties into the whimsical décor and furniture, including some found objects that have been repurposed. The most basic element of this space is that a great majority of it is made in this spirit of DIY. Whatever could pass through our hands we would make ourselves, perhaps with some imperfections, which however lend the space its charm and character. From the home’s winter life as a multi-use space one can find all the related facilities, which one can have full access to and make use of. We chose to keep these facilities, as they are intrinsic to the space and lend their character to the home. Therefore, for example you will be able to find in the background our handicrafts workshop, full of tools and some materials. There is a large table, which can be used as a desk for study and as a worktable. We would be very happy for our guests to use our tools and some of our materials (with care), so as to discover their own creativity hiding inside!
Loft-like with high ceilings and industrial design, the home is of a large, open plan, with a garden in the back. There are two double beds in the room, which are each full size (1.20m x 2.00m), and should four people wish to stay here, a paravan-
In the open-plan kitchen with bar we feature:

1. a small electric oven (not microwave)
2. a gas burner for coffee or tea
3. an espresso machine for coffee, using capsules
4. an electric burner for a pot
5. a water boiler
6. an electric orange and lemon juice squeezer
divider can be used for relative privacy.

Its thick Venetian-era stone walls (50cm wide) keep the space cool in the summer and warm in the winter. Therefore the use of air conditioner is rarely needed. Most importantly, even though the dwelling is centrally located, the walls also offer protection from the sounds of the people and hustle and bustle outside. There is also a vestibule entrance to the space, so although it is on the ground floor with easy access, it is set back from the pedestrian street and therefore not noisy. The walled garden is in the back and is a small oasis in the center of town!
