Our apartment is a modern 2-bedroom residence in Kalamaki just 20 meters from the beach. It comfortably fits 4 people, has a fully equipped kitchen, a spacious bathroom and a lovely balcony where you can enjoy the sea view!
The fully air-conditioned house is ideally located just 20 meters away from the beach and 5 kms from the city centre of Chania. It is the perfect starting point for excursions, with pas it is conveniently positioned on the coastal road leading out of town to the many top destinations of Western Crete.?You will find a cosy living room with satellite TV, a dvd player, a mini HiFi and sea view, 2 relaxing bedrooms with extra-comfortable double beds, a spacious bathroom, a fully equipped kitchen (dish washer, microwave, coffee machine, toaster, kettler, iron), a washing machine and a wired and wireless internet connection to stay in touch with the world.
Freshly renovated just this year, it is an exuberant mix of colorful motifs and collected items bringing rich personality to this artfully conceived summer house.
The decorator has emulated the eclectic style and has chosen furniture and decorative objects with different character but in a natural color way. The blue colors and fabrics with stripes were chosen to emphasize the summer feeling. Despite the many styles and colors this home never feels anything but harmonious.
You will find a grocery store, bakery, mini-market and butcher on the main road right near the house. Greek traditional restaurants are also located a few minutes away from my apartment. You can walk seaside to a wonderful park and enjoy the sunset. There is bus service every 20 minutes and the bus stop is just a few meters away from the house.
A map of the area is provided, a baby cot and a baby chair upon request. I can also arrange car rental and optional pickup from the airport.
Fresh linen and towels, beach towels as well as a welcome basket are waiting for you upon arrival.

Very nice apartment

Tha flat is really very nice, comfortable and clean. All we needed for our stay was there (coffee, delicious oil, vinegar...). Moreover, there was a welcome basket and delicious meal for the first evening. The owner is very hospitably and very kind. The view to the sea is very nice, the beach is very near. The only disadvantage for us was the noisy street in front of the house which was strongly frequented.

Beautiful apartment and great location

We had an amazing stay! The host Maria responded immediately to all questions. There is a must read booklet of recommended beaches and restaurants which is very helpful. I cannot recommend this place enough. The property is perfect and the location is great. There is a small beach right across the road which is great for late afternoon and evening swimming! Elafonisi Falassarna and Balos beaches are only 1 to 1.5 hours away. We absolutely loved our stay here. I would sit on the balcony with a coffee or a glass of wine and listen to the waves every night to relax. The apartment has everything you need to make your stay perfect. Again I cannot recommend this place enough. It’s perfect!

Perfect holiday

It was just perfect! Maria made us feel just like home. Discretely she took care of us, making sure that everything was allright and whenever we had questions or we neeeded help, we always had a quick answer to whatever we needed. Thank you Maria and also thanks to Nicole, your husband and your mom for making this holiday so special. If one thing is sure it is that we will be back!

This was my family’s 2nd stay at this property and we absolutely love it! You hear the waves from the balcony and the beach is right across the road. The host Maria responds immediately to any questions and is always helpful. From this property Chania old town is only a 12 minute drive. It is also a great starting point for road trips to nearby beaches. I cannot recommend this place enough!

Toll eingerichtetes und ausgestattetes Apartment

Tolle, saubere und richtig stylisch eingerichtete, voll und mit jedem praktischen Detail ausgestattete Wohnung. Der Strand ist direkt vor der Tür. Die recht belebte Verbindungsstraße nach Chania-Stadt (8 Min. mit dem Auto) ist gewöhnungsbedürftig und vor allem nachts nicht ganz ruhig.

Perfect Location

What a fabulous place , home from home everything you could ask for and more .The apartment is really tastefully decorated , it’s equipped with everything . It’s the first time we’ve stayed in an apartment that supplied, toilet rolls , dishwasher tablets , bin liners , coffee and sugar , the list goes on . Maria just thought of everything . Maria was the perfect host , arranging taxis , also her mum had cooked food for us . We had loads of welcome gifts waiting for us . The extra special touches make your stay more enjoyable . Kalamaki was a lovely place to stay , so close to the beach . We tried a different restaurant every night , couldn’t fault any of them . Would definitely return . We could not fault anything . Excellent Property!

It is easy to see why Maria is a Superhost. She anticipated our every need, and went out of her way to make us feel at home. She provided a welcoming bottle of wine as well as a delicious meal prepared by her mother. Who else does that? Kato Galatas is a beautiful, modern, tastefully decorated property. It is located across the street from the beach, and it is a short walk to all conveniences. This property exceeded all of our expectations and made us feel like we were being cared for by family. If I ever return to Crete I will not hesitate to book this property again. I will also recommend it to anyone travelling to Crete. Thank you Maria! Michael

Maria was a great host

Our stay in Maria's apartment was very pleasant. The apartment is comfortable and cosy and Maria provided us with a lot treats starting from gifts for us and for the children at our arrival and delicious food that she and her family cooked for us as well as with constant availability and help in case of emergencies. The only downside is the fact that the house is located on a busy street so if you have kids you have pay attention when crossing it.

Bloom of Blue - Chania/Kalamaki Beach

Ankunft am späten Abend, kein Problem. Wir wurden von einem Vertreter der Vermieterin (Maria) perfekt empfangen und eingewiesen. Die Wohnung ist wie abgebildet, nichts ist geschönt im Katalog. Alle Räume sind klimatisiert. Die Küche ist voll ausgestattet und alle Behälter für Kaffee, Zucker & (Spitzen-) Olivenöl fanden wir randvoll vor. Wir wurden von Marias Mutter mehrfach bekocht - sehr lecker. Wir fühlten uns nie willkommener und sehr schnell zuhaus.

Just Perfect!!!!

The listing description was something more than accurate! It is a lovely, modern, cosy apartment by the sea. It is clean, decorated with love and taste. It is located near the beach, close to the city centre and city life but at the same time away from the city bustle. However, what makes the apartment so special is the hospitality of the owner. Apart from the fact that provides the house with eeeeverything that a guest may need, she welcomes all guests with a welcome basket full of tastefull traditional treats. She even cooked for us a welcome meal during our stay. I recomend this property without a doubt. It really worths every penny!

Tolle Wohnung, sehr nette Vermieter

Wir haben uns in der Wohnung sehr wohl gefühlt. Es ist alles vorhanden, was man sich nur wünschen kann. Wir haben bei unserer Ankunft nicht nur ein frisch gekochte Mittagessen vorgefunden, sondern neben vielen anderen Dingen auch Wein, Raki, Kekse, Bergtee, Kaffepulver, Honig und sehr gutes Olivenöl. Die Wohnung ist sehr liebevoll und modern eingerichtet. Maria ist sehr nett. Zu Ostern brachte sie uns einen frisch gebackenen Hefezopf und Eierplätzchen. Marias Mutter kochte noch ein weiteres Mal für uns. Auch wenn der Verkehrslärm von der Straße etwas störend ist kann man diese Wohnung besten Gewissens weiter empfehlen.
