The Space: Welcome to Casa Fuego Suite D, a newly renovated ground floor retreat located in a classic Charleston Single home. This inviting condo features two bedrooms, one bathroom, and a sofa bed, comfortably accommodating up to five guests and making it a great home base for your Charleston stay!

Inside, the open living, dining, and fully equipped kitchen offer a bright, contemporary coastal feel, perfect for relaxing or spending time together. The two bedrooms include a king bed and a queen bed, each with a Smart TV. The shared bathroom features a single vanity and a shower and tub combination. The living room sofa can be set up as an additional bed upon request.

There was clear communication from the host. The apartment was in good condition. The washed and dryer with laundry soap was a god sent since we ended up having to stay in the area for an additional two days. The location was great and very walkable.

The host was attentive and accommodating. They switched us to another unit, which is why this is getting 2 stars vs no stars. The unit “D” was not nice and I wouldn’t recommend it. It was a dark 1sr floor unit with windows overlooking an alley with garbage cans. There were scuff marks and stains all over the walls and floorboards. The bathroom had mold on the ceiling and was not somewhere we wanted to shower. The beds were very poor quality and uncomfortable. The building did not seem well insulated from the top floor because we were disrupted by upstairs neighbors walking. A family was renting above us and it was very noisy. We complained and thankfully the host quickly moved us to a nicer property.

Wedding Week!

We had family staying in this unit to celebrate our wedding! Everyone loved the location and it was so nice having everyone near by in a few other rentals in the neighborhood. Easy check in and check out process! cannot wait to come back to Charleston again.

Not good for pets

The place was nice, but wasn’t fully what I was expecting. I wouldn’t really say this is “pet friendly” there wasn’t really anywhere to let your dog to use the bathroom besides a fence line. The parking was VERY tight. We were driving a truck which made it tight, but still. You aren’t really staying the in blue house pictured, you’re staying in an add on in the back. The place was clean & nice. Comfortable location.

Never again

Not what pictures show. Was not properly cleaned and they had to come back. Disgusting , dirty rugs with cough drop wrappers underneath. Wanted to cancel immediately but could not get out of reservation. To add insult to injury, at 11:30 on final night, someone opened the door and said they had rented the apt. for the night . I was scared, heart racing and told then there was a mistake. This is a breach of security and huge mistake.

Weekend get away

Pros: Property was in a great location and decorated nicely. Easy walk to King Street and East Bay with great restaurants nearby. Property was relatively clean. Felt safe to walk during the day and in the early evening. Cons: Kitchen was minimally stocked at best. Was fine for two people for a few days, but not much more for silverware, dishes, glasses, etc. Little details that make a big difference which were not included were coffee filters (a must), small packets of laundry detergent and fresh sponges. Noise from upstairs apartment was easily heard. Overall a great stay in Charleston and would recommend this property with a few tweaks on the small things.

Location, Location, Location

Pros: Loved the location. Close enough to walk to everything. Very comfortable bed and furniture. Very nice kitchen appliances. Lots of specialty channels on all three TV . Enjoyed the local history books that were available for reading. There was heavy construction going on next door, as the neighborhood is in transition. But they were very respectful and didn't start till about 8:00am each day. Cons: The apartment was surface clean, but it really needs a deep dive clean (window sills, area rugs, woodwork behind doors, etc..). Kitchen wasn't overly outfitted, bare minimum for cooking supplies. No broom or sweeper available for quick clean ups. The outside photo could be a bit misleading (at least it was for me) as this apartment and another apt. upstairs are inside the screen door toward the back of building, not the small porch entrance you also see in the photo, so there is no direct outside availability or anywhere to sit outside. Overall had a very nice stay, always feeling safe and comfy!

Don’t stay here

This place was filthy. The area rugs were disgusting with multiple stains. The tile floor was so gross that my children’s feet were literally black within two minutes of being out of the shower. What really threw my husband and I completely over the edge was the pull out couch which was advertised as one of the sleeping spaces. When we removed the couch cushions to set up the bed for our son there was food, dirt, hair, etc. I would be so embarrassed if I was ever offering that area as a place to sleep as it clearly hadn’t been cleaned in quite some time. This place was so bad that we literally packed up 3 kids and a dog at 11:30 at night and went to a hotel. When I called the property manager that night and then again in the morning I was told that I would NOT be getting a refund for the additional 4 nights that I had booked. VRBO customer service was of little to no help as well. I will never book through them again and will advise my friends and family to do the same.

We were very pleased with the cleanliness of this apartment. It’s rare to find a place that accepts pets where you get such nice furnishings. The property manager was very prompt in answering text messages and very helpful. Everything was great and we would definitely stay here again!

The place was mostly clean. It wasn’t well supplied like most places I’ve stayed. No cleaning supplies, we ran out of tp. Only two trash bags. It was also pretty hot. Not sure the ac is working properly. The location is great. The stay was okay overall.
