A nice hotel in a great location. Very convenient to the Patriot's Point Museum with the USS Yorktown, a short ride to Charleston, Sullivan's Island, and Isle of Palms. The free breakfast was good. Two things prevent me from giving the hotel five stars: 1) The bathroom did not have any towel racks, which was very inconvenient. 2) The hall carpet on the second floor had multiple stains, which gave a very poor impression when we arrived. Also, while some employees were personable, several didn't have any of the friendliness and charm that the South is known for. This seemed to be true for the whole area, though.

Juice machine did not work for the two nights we were there at breakfast. Ice machine did not work on our floor. Puddle of water left on floor at entrance to breakfast room. Breakfast attendant walked by a few times but did not clean it up. We would not return to this hotel.

Exactly what you want in a hotel!

Came down for college orientation. This property is easy to get to and from the C of C. Clean room, quiet room, friendly staff, great breakfast, easy to get work done. This place checked all the right boxes.

This hotel was amazing. The room was cool, quiet and clean. The bathroom had some amazing citrus shampoo, conditioner and lotion. There is a small pond by the hotel that had a sign warning people of possible alligators. The breakfast was great! They had bacon, eggs, biscuits, gravy, sausage, grits, cereal, muffins, fresh fruit, waffle makers, yogurt, bagels and more. Breakfast is on the second floor and can be crowded, so we ate in our room. We did find a small bullfrog in the hallway but we just realized him back outside. Staff was friendly and welcoming. This hotel was very close to the Yorktown and sullivans island. Sullivans island is the only beach that does NOT require payment to park for the day. Folly beach and Isle of the Palms cost at least $25 to park.
