Holidays in Charleston
I had booked this apartment has a treat to my family (10 people) who was coming to visit Charleston and Savannah over the holidays. We stayed 5 days in Charleston. We loved the city but were disappointed with the apartment.The plus of this apartment are its location, itssize and easy communication. It is very well situated, a 5mn walk to the French Quarter. It is also fairly spacious and the communication with property manager was very easy. We were however very disappointed by the apartment. It is run down and is in reality two separate units, not one. We always try and find historical houses when we travel, we love their charm and are used to the inconvenience that sometimes come with it. This was the most run down we have ever stayed in. The shower in the smaller unit didnât have hot water, heating system in the main unit doesnât work well (it is extremely hot upstairs and pretty cold downstairs, and if you turn it down it is ok upstairs but really cold downstairs), the kitchen is run down and windows are damaged and cannot be open (both units). The kitchen equipment is also lacking if you intend to cook and eat in (we didnât have enough sittings, dishes, silverware etc for 10). Based on the price (expensive), description and pictures we didnât expect it.
