Just FYI, we didn't go during the ski season or do any skiing. I marked the skiing as 5 stars only because I had to fill it in and didn't want to undermining the overall score. The house is lovely and the kitchen is well stocked. Two nest thermostats make setting the temperature fairly straightforward. The only downside of the property is that there's no bathroom on the first floor, which is where one of our daughters was sleeping. Otherwise, it was a lovely house with great art, comfortable furniture, an unusually well appointed kitchen, and a friendly owner. We'd go back.

Long weekend family time

Easy check-in. House is comfortably furnished - excellent kitchen supplies. Updated kitchen and bath including appliances. Very comfortable beds and wonderful outdoor deck including sun umbrella. Extremely clean. Close to Great Barrington with easy access to surrounding area. Circular driveway so need to back out into road. Just was very accommodating and responsive. Very good WiFi

This is a beautiful home that met our needs perfectly. We really loved everything about our stay! The bed were comfortable, the linens were high quality, the A/C units kept us cool on unseasonably hot nights. The bathroom has a great shower. The kitchen had everything needed to make a wonderful dinner. You can tell the owners have put in a lot of time and energy to make this a home away from home. Everything was clean, up to date, and very well cared for at this property. The deck was a lovely place to have morning coffee or relax after a day of exploring. We found the location perfect for our needs. It was easy to head into Great Barrington and do shopping or grab some ice cream. It was also very convenient to Tanglewood for an evening concert. Highly recommend!

We came to town to visit family in Great Barrington. Loved the decor, the size was perfect and the hosts we terrific. We'd highly recommend and will definitely rent again.

Ideal retreat

Perfectly updated home in an easy location, short drive into Great Barrington or Stockbridge. The home has lots of historic charm and whimsy. We didnt find anything missing in the stocked kitchen. Took advantage of the patio that had abundant clean seating and a grill! Off into the woods there was a fire pit with ADK setup. We spent one night starring into the fire. The bathroom has lovely natural lighting and hot water with excellent pressure. My family repeated the comments over our weekend "this place has everything we need", "it is so cute", "slept like I was knocked out". We really enjoyed ourselves and relaxing at the home after checking out the historical sights around us. Oh and definately enjoyed the bug zapper!

Family Ski Trip

This was a perfect base camp for my family's long weekend trip to hit a few towns and ski hills (Butternut, Catamount) in the region. The house was perfect for our family of 5 and was clean, well appointed and was a great mix of modern/updated and classic charm. The location was super convenient (10-min to town and 5-min to ski) yet it was nice to be in our own house surrounded by woods. I would really like to come back in the summer as it is also very close to lake access, appalachian trail, etc, etc. Highly recommend this place!

Lovely property

The property is in a great location and was accurate to the on-line listing. Jon was very responsive and dealt with a breaker issue quickly. Check-in was easy, as was communication. There were some cobwebs on the kitchen counters and windowsills. It would have been nice to have a chair and wastebaskets in the bedrooms, as well as tissues in the bathroom. We did enjoy our stay very much!
