Let Us Tell You About This Home:
Welcome to 37 Clam Shell Chatham - Slow M'Ocean! This quaint neighborhood with a handful of homes is waiting for you. A short walk will take you to the beach for clamming and Outermost Harbor. Just a half mile up the road visit Chatham Lighthouse (a real working Lighthouse) and Chatham Lighthouse Beach, an awesome place to take long walks along the sandy shores. Only 1.3 miles walk to the quaint village of Chatham. Linens (bed sheets, bath/beach/kitchen towels) are included with this home. Central A/C and Wifi throughout to keep you cool and connected.

Entrance to this home is up the stairs from the ground floor level. As you take your first steps in, you'll notice right away how bring and open this home is. The main level boasts an open concept living space with light wood flooring, beachy decor and windows with views everywhere! The living room is set up perfectly for catching up with your group or catching the baseball game on the large, flat screen SmartTV over the gas fireplace (for off season use only). This space is open to the two dining areas - a breakfast nook perfect for the younger set overlooking the back deck and the kitchen bar with room for five. The fully equipped kitchen as all brand new appliances including induction cook top stove and oven, dishwasher, fridge, microwave, toaster and Keurig coffee maker. The marble countertops and dark wood create an inviting place to plan the days meals. The whimsical lighting enhances the area while the many large windows highlight the views and the summer sun.

The large, wraparound deck has additional dining for six to enjoy summer-style meals on - put the umbrella up for shade or leave it off for sunny days. The opposite end has an outdoor living room with plenty of seating to spend time soaking up the rays.

The main level has a half bathroom for general use. Down the hallway is the first bedroom with a twin bunkbed with trundle and a separate twin allowing this room to sleep four. There is a flat screen, Smart TV with streaming services so remember to bring your passwords. Bedroom #1 has an ensuite bathroom with glass enclosed shower.

Heading back to the living room you will ascend to the upper level where you will find the remaining two bedrooms. Bedroom #2 has a queen bed, a window seat perfect for summer reading, a large, flat screen SmartTV and an ensuite bathroom with glass enclosed shower. Check out the views in this room!

The primary bedroom is the crown jewel of this home! The light wood floor, the peaked white ceilings and the large windows let the Cape Cod sunlight in and create the ideal summer environment! The king bed is so inviting as it faces a large, flat screen SmartTV, gas fireplace (for off season use), small sitting area and access to the outdoor deck with peek-a-boo ocean views! Bring your coffee out on the deck to the bistro table and watch the sun rise! Does it get any better than that!?

The bathroom is right out of an architectural magazine! A large walk-in, glass enclosed shower with steam function, a deep soaking tub that lets the sunlight or moonlight in, a large cabinet with tons of storage, marble countertop and double sinks.

For your convenience, the upper level has a laundry area with a washer and dryer.

For rainy days, there is a ping pong table on the ground level for high-stakes competitions! Let's say one salt water taffy per point! The backyard is perfect for your furry family members to lounge in the grass as a dog is allowed at this home. After a fun day at the beach don't forget to rinse off in the enclosed outdoor shower with hot and cold water (still under construction)! Enjoy the gas grill for outdoor dining - hot dogs and burgers on the grill are the quintessential summer fare. Gather around the firepit to share stories, laughter, and memories under the stars

This property is in an excellent location; however, we found the cleanliness to not be up to par for how much we were paying. We only received one towel per guest, which is fine because there was a washer and dryer. We didn't mind doing the laundry, but the washer had a horrible, mildew smell. Because of this we asked for some additional towels and were told no because they had never received this complaint before (somehow making it not valid?) and reiterated that it's one towel per person. Some of the sheets were also stained. All in all, it just wasn't worth the price for us because we could've stayed at Chatham Bars Inn for the same price with additional amenities and unlimited towels. We also would not have had to put sheets and towels in laundry bags before leaving. The checkout instructions were a lot. So again, not worth the price for what we got. We will stay at a hotel next time

Nice stay!

The house is located in a nice neighborhood. The walk to Lighthouse Beach is not too far, but I will note that the street can get a little busy with cars driving. The house is very nice, updated and the deck is beautiful. The beds and couch are ok as far as comfort level but could possibly use some improvement. The master bathroom is great and has lots of perks. Washer/Dryer convenient. The cleanliness of the house when we arrived was slightly below expectations. The beach chairs advertised in the description of the house are not in good condition; they are rusty, dirty and broken. I recommend bringing your own, as we had to unfortunately run out and buy new ones to use for the week. Appliances work well. Overall, had a nice stay and enjoyed the house!
