Unit was so small two people had difficulty getting in.Size of unit was never indicated thru Expedia. Was totally dissatisfied with this transaction.Expressed my dissatisfaction with personnel there,by saying it was worst experience Iâd had in many years of travel in US and abroad.
Unique awesome place to stay! The tiny house we stayed in was clean and the bed was larger than expected. Late check in but they made it easy. Map they gave us at check in was perfect and the property was kept up very nice.
The stay and the grounds were very nice...bed was really comfortable and the dock and view was awesome! All the amenities were great except everyone in the office was grumpy!
The room was a disaster, we ended up not staying at all because it was a loft with a ladder and completely clastrophobic. This listing was misleading and should have said it was a loft you have to climb to sleep. I just had two knee surgeries so a ladder is not feasible for me and I couldn't get my money back from Expedia either. So now I won't do business with Expedia anymore either!
Stayed in the Azula container home. The space was incredible with a deck right on the water. Air conditioning was effective. Kitchen includes a sink, microwave, 4 cup coffee pot, full size fridge, and an induction hot plate with 1 pan, and there's a standard campsite grill outside for use also. Kitchen does lack a little on utensils. Sofa bed has a support bar running down the middle side to side and front to back so it can be hard to sleep on as a normal bed. Bring a roll up or foam pad to lay on top and it'll be perfect. I used a beach float. Grounds are nice and dog friendly, lots of community spaces and equipment rentals. Definitely worth the bird watching views alone.
Walking distance to the best bar on the planet... Lowkey Tiki bar. Great place to chill, clean, kind people, quiet, property is right on the water and they have a lovely doc, fire pit, blow up slides for the kids to play on, horse shoes... just awesome location! We biked to downtown Cedar Key without a problem and to the Lowkey Tiki bar and Annie's restaurant.
Absolutely AMAZING! It was the wifes and I first time there and let me say it was not a disappointment. Staff was awesome and the manager, Cesar was extremely friendly and very helpful. Cant wait to book again.
Well Done Camptel - Thank you for Your close attention to the finer details such as cotton sheets, remote control for AC & hot water all
Which exceeded the Sir Francis Drake hotel. Professional & courteous staff obviously proud of this travel product. I very much appreciate the setting on the bay, kayaking access & look forward to renting electric bikes when I return in July for a week . This whole Lower Suwannee River /Cedar Key area is wild & the wildlife views are stunning â€ïž Thanks so much
Caesar at Camptel was awesome. We had a mixup with our reservation- communication between systems at hotels.com and their site. Caesar found us a larger room that what we had originally reserved and made sure we were comfortable and pleased.
We stayed in the glamping tent and it was wonderful! There is heat and cooling (we needed both) and ready made coffee every morning in the clubhouse. We rented kayaks ant electric bikes. Both were only 25$.... a steal! Housekeeping was polite and attentive, asking about extra towels. Staff go out of their way to make sure your experience at Camptel is exceptional... which it was! Thanks Caesar and staff... we will be back.
There needs to be more pictures. Our room was small, outdated, musty smelling, nowhere to sit a suitcase, thick dust on ceiling fan, & noisy. Yet it showed good ratings.
Very unique property! Lots of choices and variety on rooms. Tiny House, Containter Home, tent or bring your own camper/RV. Management was friendly, facility clean and a fishing pier. The visitors were all very friendly and happy group. I think that speaks volumes for this facility. A definite unique must stay.
