Great stay at the Pickle Factory Hotel in Covington KY. Very good value in that pricing included parking and the room had a small kitchen. I loved the quirky decor and felt safe there. It is close to an auto repair shop so there was some neighborhood noise but I also loved hearing the church bells toll in the morning. Everything was clean and well maintained. Would stay here again.
This was an amazing place to stay! The room was perfect and had everything we needed. Bed was extremely comfortable! That area has so much to offer and everything was super walkable and we felt very safe!
My fifteen year old daughter and I stayed in the Neon Sign room. She said she wanted to live there. So cute but roomy! Every detail was so well thought out. We loved it!
We stayed in the Odd Fellows room which was wonderful. It was very clean and had every convenience that I needed. I appreciated the personal touches like the extra, soft blankets and the quirky decor. The whiskey venue downstairs got a little loud on the Saturday night, but the noise machine and ear plugs helped with that. Overall, I highly recommend!
If you enjoy something different than your average hotel room AND enjoy a little history. This place is absolutely charming! Very clean, very accommodating and very straightforward with accessing and all instructions. Thank you very much, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
This place is super cute... once you figure out exactly where it is it's easy to find. Felt very safe. Cute little deli right around the corner. Super close to downtown -- easy uber ride to mt. Adams or the dance clubs downtown (we did both.) Whiskey tasting room downstairs... unfortunately they keep kinda tight hours so we didnt get to sample the wares. The rooms were great fun... lots of eclectic vintage madness, the attention to detail takes a minute or two to breakdown the connection. At the end of the day, very comfortable, very substantial, very fun place to hang for a few days -- nice get away from family and high profile events! Had everything we needed except wine... and we brought that with us!
I was taken with the coolness factor of staying in a former factory, but underestimated the inconvenience of having no lobby, nowhere to sit while waiting for room, etc. No early check-in, no late check-out. The room was nice looking but freezing (probably the downside of the brick building. All in all I wish Iâd stayed at a more standard hotel.
We were supposed to get checkin instructions 5 days prior to our arrival. I had to call and request the instructions. The agent that answered the phone was not knowledgeable about the property.
The entrance was not clearly marked and was confusing. When we arrived the code for the first entrance didn't work. When we entered the code at the second door, the door opened but the interior latch was on the door. We had to use a coathanger to get the latch off. The double unit that was meant to accommodate 4 people only provided 2 packets of coffee and 2 small bottles of water. With the lack of restaurants close by, vending and drink machines would have been nice to have available. Our Uber drivers had a hard time finding the property. One driver said he was concerned about picking up passengers in an alley for safety reasons. Overall, for the high price we paid for a 2 night stay, it was just not worth it. The decor was cute, the old building was charming and it was close to the city, but that's about it. I would not stay here again.
Such a cute place!! Adorable set up and themed accessories. Was difficult to find the building and then difficult to find the actual entrance through hallway. Comfortable stay however you could hear people upstairs cleaning early am and church bells on the hour. Good to have a sound machine
On a Midwest swing and decided to visit Cincinnati and we decided to stay at the Pickle Factory in Covington. Great location near the Roebling Bridge with easy access to the waterfront on both sides of the Ohio River.
