Great location for exploring Cirencester and the Cotswolds
The only (minor) complaint here is that the entrance is a little awkward. We ended up storing a suitcase just inside the front door to keep us from accidentally stepping down or falling. Other than that, our stay was great! We were close enough to walk into Cirencester to enjoy market day, but not so close that we had to worry about parking. The house was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. There was some renovation happening on the barn just across the way, but it didnât bother us a bit. Weâd definitely recommend this place to anyone looking to get away in the Cotswolds!
Do NOT book ! Not cleaned. In poor condition and disrepair.
Arrived to a cold (14c) dirty, damp barn uncleaned barn. Dirty bedding, a broken fridge that was warm. Not cleaned since previous guests. In need of redecoration throughout, carpets need steam cleaning, fridge needs replacing, needs a spring clean throughout. Contacted manager and cleaner came out and was shocked. Complaining the Cottages.com and got 100 refund on a 350 booking. We were away taking our daughter away for her 21st birthday. It was memorable for the wrong reasons.its the worst place we have ever stayed. We were cold, the electric pump had tripped. Electric certificate (5 yr test) expired in October 2024 so should never have been let untested. Gave the impression no one cared about the property. Do NOT Book it there are far better places to stay for the money. Unless you want a cold. Dirty, unloved place in need of a deep clean, total redecoration, and a warm fridge!
Wonderful place on the outskirts of Cirencester but still only an 11 minute walk to the town center. Best of both worlds and really nicely decked out.
Cant recommend enough.
We stayed here for just under a week and really enjoyed our stay. The cottage was just as discribed and very warm and comfortable. There was fresh milk in the fridge and some Welsh cakes next to the kettle which made us feel very welcomed. The only criticism would be that the welcome pack/instruction cover was torn and falling apart which spoilt the first impression. There were no instructions for the washing machine and there were a lot of dusty cobwebs - I don't think the cleaner ever looked up. It would have been nice if there was some salt and pepper in the cottage (maybe lose the Welsh cakes and supply salt and pepper instead?)
Also, being form Australia we did not understand the bin / rubbish recycling system so unfortunately we put all our rubbish in the general waste bin.
Overall we would highly recommend this cottage.
