Rural perfection! Tucked away down narrow country lanes and a private half-mile section of the ancient Saint Edmund Way, this quintessential 16th Century farmhouse is wonderfully positioning in the middle of rolling Constable Countryside within walking distance of two of the Dedham Valeâs prettiest villages with great pubs. Following a full modernising renovation, the cottage retains its authentic historic character with extensive wooden beams, exposed brickwork and impressive inglenook fireplace glowing at its heart. With two exceedingly comfortable en-suite bedrooms, beautiful three-sixty degree views over a large immaculate garden and unrivalled seclusion, this is the superlative rural escape. Ground Floor Kitchen & Dining Room â Two rooms now combined as one to create a well-equipped kitchen and dining room incorporating the original architecture and floored with an intricate mosaic pattern. There is a sink, dishwasher, Rangemaster style electric six hob / double oven cooker, under-counter fridge and separate freezer, toaster, kettle, Nespresso coffee machine and antique dining table with six chairs. Utility Roomâ With worktop, washing machine and tumble dryer. Washroom â Lavatory and hand basin. Sitting Room â Three seater sofa, large matching armchair and further padded chair are orientated around a large inglenook fireplace with a modern log burner. There is also a 42â Sky integrated Smart TV with access to a plethora of channels. First Floor Nayland Bedroom â With King-size bed, matching bedside tables & lamps, chest of drawers and cloths hanging alcove. En-suite Shower-room â Serving the Nayland Bedroom with walk-in power-shower, hand basin and lavatory. Stoke Bedroom â With Super King-sized matching bedside tables & lamps, chest of drawers and a cupboard. A low doorway is the centuries old original and does requiring ducking. En-suite Shower-room â Serving the Stoke Bedroom with walk-in power-shower, hand basin and lavatory. Staircase â Is on the steeper side though not severe, so not recommended for those with restricted mobility. Outside Surrounding Patio â There is a patio all around the cottage which is at its widest to the West overlooking a large immaculately tended lawn, flower beds and rolling fields beyond which are frequent filled with livestock. This sun terrace has an outdoor dining table & four chairs along with a BBQ, two sunlounges and a raised fire pit. Sunsets at their inspiring best. Garden â The lawn around the cottage is for your private use and next to the driveway it is delignated by a low hedge the other side of which is for the use of the neighbouring barn conversion.
A lovely cottage - clean, well maintained, and very quiet - in a lovely location: a great place to return to after a day out visiting local attractions, pretty much guaranteed a good night's sleep.

Lovely stay, idyllic location, cosy cottage
Overall the cottage was great. Spacious and well equipped. The surrounds were terrific and an absolute credit to the gardener. The information pack was first rate, and loaded with everything you'd need as someone new to the area.
Would recommend for sure.
What can say else than fourth time in 2 years & will be back in February. Feels home & itâs great for wandering around, Suffolk, nice Essex coast & a short drive to London if city missed too much. And golf at the doorstep (actually the gate).
And most magnificent skys & stars on the hill.
