A wonderful experience. My husband and I and our two friends were traveling through and I googled BnB in the area. Lucked out and found this place. The house had a lot of history and is quaint and comfortable. Our hostess Arlene is a treasure. Chock-full of intriguing stories and experiences to include first hand knowledge of the House as well as the neighborhood and nearby âmust seeâ sites to visit during our short stay. The breakfast she prepared was delicious. Her hospitality unmatched. I could sit and talk with her for hours. Would definitely stay again for longer than one night.
Such a great place. Lots of history and the host was great. Breakfast is with all the of the guests there in the Dining room which at first I was not sure about but it was nice to hear everyoneâs stories and the host talked about all of the history of the bed and breakfast. There are no TVs in the rooms but honestly it was quite nice without it. Also lots of cool restaurants. Front range bbq was just up the street and had great food. Also it was featured on diners drive ins and dives with Guy Fieri on food network! Definitely recommend this place to anyone.
We had a great time at Spurs N Lace. My girlfriend and I stayed for just one night while visiting nearby Manitou Springs, but the B&B was perfect for our needs. I in particular enjoy historical locations and Spurs N Lace is a beautiful renovated Victorian. We stayed at the Victoria Rose Room.
Special thanks to Arlene, the proprietor and manager, for sending back to me the AirPods I left behind in the room. Arlene did not give up in our attempts to locate it as it was showing it was still there in FindMy app. Arlene didnât even charge for the shipping costs despite it having been my fault and not of their staff.
Thanks to much Arlene!
Arlene, the owner is very friendly and so very knowledgeable about the area. We learned so much from her and the breakfast was delicious. The home is lovely, filled with antiques and warm and welcoming.
Arlen Lanham, an engineer and author, and an absolute Bon Vivant, runs an amazingly welcoming and friendly old Victorian house in the charming Old Colorado Town neighborhood. The breakfast alone, between the conversations, history, and wonderful food, makes the stay one which I really hope to repeat!
It is a lovely property, but shows its age. While it was generally clean, the bathroom rug and baseboard were filthy. The outside and yard need a good cleaning. The breakfast was tasty, but didn't include protein or toast, and tended to be quite sweet.
the house was beautiful and the bed was very comfortable. Arlene's breakfast tales were entertaining and educational. Love the neighborhood cats. so sweet. Met some really nice people from England and Scotland. Would go back.
Loved this Victorian gem. Lots of history here. Arlene will tell you all about it. She is a great host and ambassador of the area. Loved breakfast with Arlene, it was delicious.
