The property is also full of wildlife. Three herds of deer criss-cross our land daily and there is a little fox that sometimes hides under our deck.

At this house, you will see lots of bunnies, squirrels, dear, wood peckers, and songbirds. And there is a chance if you are lucky that you will see an owl, a raccoon, coyote, or a fox. We even had a small bear in the neighborhood this summer. Keep your eyes open. It’s almost a guarantee that you will see Pronghorn in the meadows as you drive into town about three min from our house.

Even though the house is in the mountains off a dirt road it is also located within ten minutes of Walmart, Target, King Supers, Lowe’s, Home Depot, Arby’s, Fitness Centers, YMCA, Wells Fargo, a brand new splash park, Spas, a hospital, and pretty much everything else.

Entire space is included in this rental. Please, make yourself at home.

Perfect Getaway

The Best Stay!

I stayed here for the weekend for my sisters bachelorette party. The house is gorgeous and so spacious. Your just far away from the city to get the feeling that your in the woods but close enough to make a quick target run if needed. The rooms were so big and over all the layout was perfect. I would highly recommend anyone to stay here. You wont be disappointed!

A beautiful and spacious home!

We were very happy with the layout of the house and felt very comfortable and welcomed in the home. The owners were very thoughtful in providing extra things like soap, shampoo, and toothpaste, in addition to the usual necessities that are normally included in a VRBO home. The kitchen is fully stocked so you don’t have to worry about forgetting your stuff at home. We loved the decorations for Christmas around and outside of the house. The backyard space was awesome, but we didn’t get to use it as much because of the cold weather. The lights were so beautiful at night! It would be a great space to use in the summer! The house is clean and updated and was perfect for our weekend getaway for our retreat! We highly recommend this home for anyone looking for a place to relax and enjoy life away from the craziness of the city. Thank you so much for letting us use your beautiful home!

Comfortable home for large groups

We had a large gathering for a family reunion with people varying in age from toddlers to great grandparents and everyone really enjoyed it. The home is recently remodeled, in excellent condition, and overall very clean. Everything was working properly and the kitchen was reasonably equipped. I didn't see many kitchen appliances, but it had plenty of dishes and even a Keurig coffee and tea machine. The wifi worked well, even with multiple teenagers on their phones nonstop. The smaller kids really enjoyed the playset in the yard. We enjoyed walking around the area and even found a German microbrew nearby that was within walking distance. The only downside was that the outdoor fire pit that is so prominent in the listing cannot actually be used. Unfortunately, due to fire risk in the area, it appears that you can very rarely have an outdoor wood fire. While this is certainly no fault of the owner, the listing could have made this much more apparent.

Family Time

The house was clean and in good repair, however the advertised property was not accurate. This property sleeps 20 and there were a total of 9 bath towels on site. It says a fully stocked kitchen and this was not so, there was a weird assortment of pans and dishes, no salt and pepper, who wants to run to the store to cook eggs? The ice maker was not working and the fridge door wouldn’t stop beeping. Day 2 found raw sewage coming up in the down stairs bathroom tub when using the toilet. Tom was great, but had to spend an entire day trying to get it fixed which put our facilities at times not working for 20 people. The BBQ, was filthy and had not been cleaned in a while, also the burners weren’t all working. I was disappointed in the property but the outdoor space was beautiful and worked for us however, for the pice was it was questionable.

Not stay again

Needs a lot of improvement! A) Supplies and kitchen utensils ( pots and pans) were very minimal. We had to buy simple staple items like salt and pepper that should be a stocked item in rental. ( especially for the price! We are a non profit for DV survivors and we had to use more funds for things that should have been available yet had to go buy them all.) B) The chair in the living room has a leg that is not attached so one of our attendees almost fell out of chair. C) water backed up in tubs the first night and in master leaked all over the floor. D) hole in wall behind door in master bedroom E) loose board in 1/2 bath off kitchen F) All bunk beds not safe! ( stairs, springs and way put up) G) pull out bed downstairs is broken H) steps on bunk beds upstairs are not safe I) Tile above stove fell off, and burners are not working properly J) Ice maker doesn't work K) Only master bed and west queen bed are really of any comfort at all so house really only sleeps 4 comfortably and only 10 or 11 safely. L) bunk beds upstairs springs are poking through M) Bathroom door upstairs sticks N) closet doors come off tracks O) Patio railing is loose P) sliding glass door handle on left side is loose Q) hand rails on left of stairs are loose R) handles on bunk bed drawers falling off S) communication with you was hard. I personally left messages with questions before we arrived as did our Directors, and we never received communication back. Not a great impression and We will not be staying again.

Amazing Stay

This was an incredible location for our lacrosse spring break. Couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay or more central location. I would highly recommend staying here if you have a larger group!

Amazing Place

The property was very beautiful. Setting up the reservation was easy and the owners were very responsive when I asked several questions prior to booking. We really enjoyed our stay and it was a much needed getaway. I emailed the property manager the day we arrived with a question and never heard back, however it was nothing urgent and I had the owners phone numbers in the event something was urgent. We would definitely stay here again and are already talking about when to plan our next trip. It is absolutely beautiful. Really short drive to all the stores etc but out in the country with peace and quiet.

Great property, amazing back yard - a little far from Co. Springs attractions

We spent 4 nights at this property as a getaway week. There were two families with 4 adults, 3 kids 8-12 years old and we could have easily had twice the people. Lots of room both inside and out for the kids to play and adults to relax. The backyard was so great for all of us. We made a fire each night and kids enjoyed the big tree swing. One thing to keep in mind though is that while the house is set on 3 acres, sound travels out there and there are neighbors close by that apparently complained about the noise. I didn't think we were super loud, but also i didn't think it was unreasonable that we were asked to keep it down. Just know that it's not like you're on an isolated property. Location-wise, we found that each day we got out for activities (Manitou, Garden of the Gods, Zoo, Broadmoor), we drove 30-40 minutes to the same general area. So if we were going again and wanted to do all of those things, we'd probably look for a place closer to south Co Springs. But if that's not your bag or you can't find a place closer, this is a fun place. Lastly, the AC went out in the house the last day we were there, which probably would only be an issue the week we were there as it was in the upper 80s. While the home owner was initially very responsive via text, she was unable to get a legitimate AC repair person out there, so we didn't have AC that night. She first sent her teenage son, then a dude that was high and told us outright anything he knew about AC repair was what he could find on YouTube. So he banged on stuff in the crawlspace for a while but no actual repair. A little uncomfortable but not the end of the world.
