Yes the air-conditioning worked fine. Parking was convenient. The location was perfect for the conditions and the situation. The toilet tank wouldn’t stop running so I would have to remove the lid and pull the lever up to get the water to stop flowing. Other than that I expect I’ll be using the modern motel again.

First, deadbolt on door appeared to have been kicked in. It locked, but seemed less than secure if someone wanted to get in. Second it smelled musty/mildewy. These 2 things almost made us go get changed to another room, but the motel had already called us twice because they needed to change our room because they needed the double queen for other guests because their heat didn't work. Third, and worst of all, the next morning we found out the hot water tap in the shower didn't work. That is unforgivable. We told the front desk, but the response was indifference.

In the 15 minutes that I waited in my car for someone to come to the front office to check me in, I witnessed: 1. A lady “walking her dog” and walking in between all the cars in the parking lot, peering inside to see what was inside (including mine! She was surprised to see me in there) 2. A man who might’ve been homeless making 4-5 trips between his room on the first floor and the gas station across the street. I honestly think he might’ve been running drugs between cars at the gas station and the room he had access to. 3. A few different people going in and out of a room on the first floor with Christmas lights and loud music 4. (Best one yet) a man on the second floor of the building with an LED flashlight who was shining it across the parking lot into different rooms and vehicles for a good 5 minutes. What was he doing? It was around 11pm and he is shining a flashlight into people’s rooms indiscriminately. This place was like a horror house on Halloween with scare actors. Do not stay here. I should’ve read the reviews. They get enough clientele from the ghouls of the night. They don’t need yours. I decided that I could not stay here, and I’m not one to complain. This was just unacceptable.

Do not stay here!!! Do not stay here. This is NOT a family friendly motel and not a safe place. For starters…we pulled up to motel and there were several homeless people on property and walking around, and the property smelled like weed. We had three rooms and two of the rooms were code entry. Which would be fine, but there was NO deadbolt lock on the inside of door. Meaning…anyone with the code could punch it in and come in! A lot of activity going on outside in the parking lot and my parents and brother had people knocking on their doors in the middle of the night. The rooms were not horrible, but could be kept up better. Yes, the room Was cheap, but trust me when I say spend a little more $$ for peace of mind and not having to sleep with one eye open!

One of my concerns was people walking around the parking lot at night. We got in after 2am and to see people just chilling outside in a kinda concerning. The structure of things in the room were a bit off. Bathroom door had to lift up to close. The towel rack was just screwed into the wall so when we took the towel off it came out of the wall. Staff was very help full. Especially coming in after hours.

There was no soap (like they were out of soap), the room was not clean, it had a bit of a smell, the curtains didn’t close all the way, and…our bed was broken! To their credit, the lady working and maintenance man tried to help and did end up bringing us a new bed frame at 9:30 pm. They were trying, the motel is bad, do not recommend.
