German Village is a historic neighborhood just south of downtown Columbus, OH. Initially platted in 1814 in Columbus' South End, German Village was generally developed between years 1840 and 1914. It was settled largely by German immigrants in the mid-1800s. German descendants at one time comprised as much as one-third of the population of Columbus. Restoration began in 1959 and the Historic District was established in 1963. German Village was the FIRST historic district in the U.S. and it remains a model for all that came after. In the year 1974, German Village joined the Historic Register. Today, more than 1,600 preservations have been completed.

Parking out front is FREE!

The efficiency is Unit B, and has all you need for a short or long stay. The garden space is private, gated but shared with the long-term tenant in Unit A.

Perfect overnight stay

We were just here for one night, but loved our stay. It was the perfect size for us and our two pups, along with a perfect location. Loved the neighborhood & all the history it holds. If we come back to Columbus this would be my first pick for staying again.

Too quick of a visit!

Very nice place, friendly hosts and the place is clean. We didn’t have much time to enjoy the area which was quaint and very walkable. The parking was challenging but we did find a spot. The only negative I notice was the room had a musty smell to it. A couple of damp rid would help.

Clean, Comfortable, and Conveniently Located

We enjoyed our stay in German Village! The apartment was in a great area of town and we were able to walk to parks and several restaurants in the area. Highly recommend a visit to The Book Loft and coffee at nearby Staufs— both less than a 5 minute walk away. We rented scooters (they’re everywhere!) and had a wonderful time sightseeing on those and it made getting to some of the farther areas easier. The apartment was very clean and comfortable. We had everything we needed to relax and enjoy this area of Columbus!

A cute, clean place in a quiet old neighborhood. The courtyard is adorable and would be a great place to hang when the weather improves. After a long car ride, my dogs loved it! :)

Perfect for a weekend trip!

The Lil’Haus is perfect for a quick weekend trip.My husband and I enjoyed how close it was to everything (we didn’t drive anywhere, which we loved) and the doggies enjoyed how close it was to the park! Communicating with the owners was a breeze as well. Thanks for much for letting us stay!
