Lovely A-frame Cabin Style Home along the Skagit River

This spacious A-frame cabin style home is the perfect get-away! Tucked away from the craziness of life, this lovely cabin faces the Skagit River with glimpses of Mount Baker through the trees. This roomy yet cozy cabin is excellent for hosting a couple on a romantic get-away to a large group of family and friends gathering together for a fun retreat. It's also a great location as a base camp for some awesome exploration in the surrounding hills of the North Cascades.

The cabin has a broad open floor plan, large fully equipped kitchen, plus an upper loft. Two of the bedrooms feature comfortable queen beds and the third bedroom features three twin beds. There are two beautiful baths with walk-in showers. The spacious living room has four comfy couches perfect for lounging and enjoying the peaceful views out the large picture windows. Or you can snuggle in front of the fire with the free-standing propane stove. Out from the living room is a big deck great for barbequing or savoring the fresh country air. In the backyard there is a firepit with a small bundle of firewood provided. If there is work to be done, a small desk is located in the upper loft free of distractions, except the amazing views.

There is a hot tub. It's small but perfect for two. (Larger groups will need to take turns.) ***If cleaning is necessary prior to your arrival, the water might not be 102° at time of check-in.***

There is also plenty of parking in the expansive driveway, so be sure to invite your friends. This cabin will surely provide a warm and pleasurable stay!

NO NEED TO PACK WATER! Concrete, WA is known for their pristine water. Our water is the best tasting water you'll ever drink! Besides, it's probably the same water you'll be buying in the store. Save yourself the trouble and fill up your bottles at the cabin. The kitchen faucet also has an added filter to remove any possible impurities.

The cabin is 5 minutes to town providing you with any needed essentials. There are terrific restaurants, a grocery store, a movie theater, and even an ice cream parlor. You're also at the base of great outdoor adventures! Directly north are Shannon and Baker Lakes. Both lakes offer lots of water fun and terrific hiking. Towering above are Mt. Baker and Mt. Shuksan providing an amazing backdrop. East of Concrete about 20 miles, you'll enter the vast North Cascades National Park. There are also two beautiful parks about 10 miles in either direction from the cabin with wonderful access to the Skagit River and great play yards for young children. Or you can just hide away and enjoy being surrounded by the beauty. No matter your reason for visiting, I'm sure you'll love it here!

*The upper loft is not safe for young children unattended. We ask that young children are not allowed upstairs without supervision. A child gate is provided to use at the bottom of the stairs to prevent children from going upstairs alone.

PET FREE CABIN. I have worked hard to keep this cabin clean and allergen free. No pets are allowed, no exceptions. There is no "pet fee." If you bring a pet into the cabin, you will be charged an additional day rental and an hourly cleaning rate to allow for extra cleaning. If you are traveling with pets, I can refer you to a cabin just down the road that caters to those traveling with pets.

Fantastic home for a relaxing stay!

This home was exactly what our family needed for our visit to the North Cascades. While a bit far from the park, the drive was enjoyable and beautiful to take in. The property itself was well maintained, clean and spacious. Our adult kids loved relaxing in the hot tub after days of hiking. The bedrooms were spacious and very comfortable. The owner was a pleasure to deal with and even left some very nice welcome treats for the family when we arrived. This is an amazing place to stay for your trip to the region. I highly recommend this lovely property!

Fantastic stay!

Cheryl is an amazing host! Everything in the cabin was done with an eye toward guest, comfort and convenience. Cleanliness was top-notch, and special amenities provided exceeded anything we’ve ever experienced at a home rental. Couldn’t have been more pleased with the communication and healthfulness of Cheryl.

Welcoming and all the comforts of home

Cheryl was an amazing host. There were homemade snickerdoodles and a fresh cut bouquet of herbs, and sparkling grape juice and wine on the counter when we arrived. The gas logs were my favorite to sit by each morning with a blanket and coffee. I’ve never seen a more stocked pantry and fridge as we’ve seen here. But we didn’t have to use much because the local diners and restaurants were so fantastic after our hikes in North Cascades Park. The bedrooms and bathrooms were all relaxing and comfortable to use. The nice washer and dryer were so convenient to use before continuing our extended trip. The flowers grown by the house and yard add such a nice touch to this cabin.

Best place ever!

Cheryl's home, and Cheryl, were amazing! You want for nothing. She's thought of everything, every small detail, and her home is super clean, comfy and quiet. There was plenty of everything, towels, kitchen items, extra items in the pantry and fridge, cider and wine, and super delicious homemade snickerdoodle cookies (a whole cookie jar full!). YUM! We loved the space, views, videos, music, books, games, and the relaxation time we had after hiking and exploring the parks. Can't wait to visit again! Thank you, Cheryl!

Great Cabin Getaway

Overall, the cabin was fantastic. When we arrived, it was clean and tidy and there were fresh, homemade cookies available. There was a wide variety of entertainment options including a good selection of board games and VCR movies. The location is beautiful and you can see the Skagit river from the backyard. Chery was kind, responsive, and willing to help if we had any questions or needed anything. I could not have asked for a better place to stay!

Lovely Cabin, Awesome Host

The cabin was exactly as described with a lot of little added extras. Cheryl is a very responsive host and puts a lot of effort into making this cabin comfortable and welcoming. She has compiled the most comprehensive informational book than anywhere else we have stayed. It was so helpful. The location was perfect for visiting North Cascades National Park. We would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend this cabin.

Beautiful cabin in the woods

From the moment we stepped through the door, we were relaxed and able to enjoy spending time together. Having stayed during the Christmas and New Year’s holidays, the owner arranged for a tall Christmas tree, lights, and other decorations. As we walked in, the gas fireplace was lit and holiday music was playing. It was an amazing home and gracious host.

Great rental on East side of N Cascades

Cheryl is a phenomenal host and this rental exceeded our expectations during our trip to North Cascades NP! The home was somehow even more spacious than it looked in pictures and it was amazing to have views of snowcapped mountains over the treeline. We appreciated how thoughtfully the home was cleaned in preparation for our stay - little things like an abundance of towels, blankets, area guides & food recos, and even HOMEMADE COOKIES & wine, were icing on the cake. Would absolutely stay here again and strongly recommend this property for anyone looking for comfortable accommodations while exploring the Park.

We want to go back

We found this location to be perfect because we could easily get to the NP and also Baker Lake and surrounding areas. So much to see and do in nature. The host helped me create a plan for outings and provided a binder with maps and suggestions as well. The house and property were great. Very comfortable and clean and well stocked. I really did not need to bring anything other than our groceries, and even then, there were several grocery items already there such as s'mores, homemade cookies, coffee, hot chocolate, and more. The only thing I would suggest is putting a tall fence between this house and the house next door. The next door neighbors seem harmless but it was not private on the side of the house or backyard and that would have been nice to have. That is not a deal breaker and I would most certainly stay at this property again and recommend it to others.
