Very nice country cottage feel about the place. Food options and facilities were much better than most city places. Highway noise was sufficiently far away and down the same street is a good cafe.

Might work well for some, but not for us.

This place was not what I expected at all. I was hoping for a nice private B&B, but what we got was really an adventure in cooperative housing. No privacy except in the bedroom, very thin wall were you could hear every conversation and smell every meal being cooked. A porch light shone directly into our bedroom at eye level and I had an argument with one guest that wanted it on so he could eat outside. I insisted that it be off and he finally relented. Did not notice that the provided breakfast was self-serve so you had to cook your own food and wash your own dishes. Not exactly a B&B experience. Also no one available to check you in and our cell phone service did not work in Coonabarabran so we had to go down to the shire council office to get on wi-fi to make the call. Addtionally, I thought the price of $140 AUD very high for the level of service received. As I say, this might work very well for some folks, but I hated it and would not recommend it. By the way, we have been living in hotels for the past 3 months so I have some experience in what constitutes good value and service.

A quaint bed and breakfast in the heart of Coonabarabran. Huge bedroom with a large comfy bed. Shared bathroom facilities which is okay for 1 or two nights.

My husband and I had the single beds room. The room was small but cosy. The beds were so comfortable and the bedding was great quality. It also had an ac/heater which worked well. We were there only one night, but was impressed with the well equipped kitchen, lounge and bathroom complete with heat lamps.

Okay, the house was clean and comfortable but we and the other guests considered it uncomfortable to share the place and amenities with total strangers and the owner,s dad who lived in a shed outside. At least he confined his smoking to outside under the awning. The ham/bacon in the fridge was opened and how could we be sure of the previous occupants hygiene? It was more like a youth hostel in the way things worked at this place. We didn't see the owner but she sounded nice in her communication.

Clean and warm. Share bathroom ok. Unfortunately someone was smoking and eating outside late, and in the early morning on using the kitchen, there was a strong stale smell of cigarette. Outside dirty ashtray and dishes left.

Pleasant stay

Lovely cottage, nice room and good location. The only issue is that there is only one shared bathroom with shower and toilet in the house. There is another toilet and shower outside the house which might not be convenient for used at night. There are 4 rooms in the cottage and could potentially housed up to12 guests. If fully occupied there might be problem in sharing the bathroom facilities. We were fortunate that there were only 7 guests in the 4 rooms during our stay. We had no problem with sharing the bathroom as all guests were very considerate. Another positive point of this accommodation was the nice breakfast spread provided and the well stocked kitchen.

The house is lovely with an old world charm and very spacious. It is set up very well, the rooms are clean. The only drawback is sharing a bathroom and kitchen with other guests but that wasn't an issue for us. The breakfast provided is generous and great to have included. We would definitely stay here again.

We loved our stay at langley cottage. We met some lovely people while staying there. Everything you need is there. Very clean and tidy. Amazing finding out the history of the place also. Highly recommended to anyone wanting a place to stay
