The stay was very nice, although I stayed for only one night it was such a cute little lodge to crash at and the water fall was amazing!!! Just keep in mind that you have no service.. they do have free WiFi in the lodge but once you leave you have no service.

Staff was great. Beautiful area. Short (5 min) drive to falls. Rooms could use updating but it’s a state park lodge so expected. We unfortunately got room 217 which is about half the size of all other rooms so we had to move the chair around the room to be able to open the drawers etc. lol We called it “The Closet”.

We rented a duplex cabin. It was very dated. The window mini blinds were broken and hanging sideways. The screens were warped and did not fit into the window frame . The screens hung loosely, somehow at the top of the frame. The bed was extremely soft and over used. The floor was dirty. It had been swept but not washed. I don’t think that floor had seen a vacuum all year as there was dirt/dust/debris in the corners and around the interior door way. The bathroom was not clean either. Hair and shampoo drippings were still in the bathtub. Thankfully I brought some Clorox wipes and cleaned the tub, toilet and sink. We made it work and stayed. It was poor at best. Same for the lodge food. Poor at best.

The location is beautiful but the wall that separates the rooms is a sheetrock you can hear absolutely everything the TV, the conversations….EVERYTHING. We could NOT sleep.

We were here for the night on our way to Tennessee. Room was quiet and clean. The restaurant only had a continental breakfast available. Nothing hot though what they offered was good.

Had the charm of an historical state park lodge. Location was superb. Walk right out the door and take a hike or two or six. Some to beautiful locations within the Daniel Boone Forest and including Cumblerand Falls. Some of the facilities are dated, and there is a plan for an update to the lodge rooms. However, I also feel that the dining room needs nicer tables or tableclothes at least (the veneer has come off in so many spots), and some of the signage were scribbled notes, which looks tacky. OVERALL, WE LOVED OUR STAY, the food was great, and we look forward to returning.
