Host did not have my reservation

The day before arriving I sent a text through VRBO to host for checkin instructions. No response. As we landed in Cordoba I texted him directly through WhatsApp. He claimed VRBO had never sent him the reservation. At any rate, we were left without lodging from both the host and VRBO. I had to make my own arrangements through hotel booking.
