A delightful 2BR cottage in a remote and peaceful organic farm in the highlands of northern Corfu. Participate in farm activities, visit the animals, stroll around the olive groves or simply relax and enjoy the tranquility. Guests can also enjoy the homegrown produce (fruit, vegetables, etc.). The cottage is a modern construction of 2 storeys and 90 m2 area. It comprises 2 ensuite bedrooms, kitchen and dining area, living room, WC, a balcony on the 1st floor, and two ground floor terraces. It is one of three cottages on the farm available for rent.
The farm itself is located on rolling hills overlooking the valley of the nymphs. You can walk around visiting our farm animals (local protected and rare breeds). These are the soul of the farm: Bare necked chickens, turkeys, guinea fowls, ducks, geese, rabbits, pigs, sheep, goats, cats, dogs and a horse. These unique animals have the ability to pay you back all the love and attention you offer through excellent products such as eggs, milk, cheese, yogurt etc.
Your friendly host, Nikos, is the proud owner of the farm and was born and raised locally. He is always at hand to answer any questions you may have and show you round his beautiful farm. Depending on the season, you are welcome to participate in our daily farm routine too!
The property is located in the village of Xanthates in the northern highland region of Corfu. Experience the highest peak of the island with panoramic views, the picturesque villages with their narrow alleys, the ancient churches, the old houses and the shady village squares full of traditional restaurants and water springs. Ramble through flowery paths that lead to monasteries and outer churches, cross ancient stone river bridges and canyons full of colors and scents. Discover hidden springs, caves and the largest waterfalls of the island. Visit our lagoon and the rare wetlands, full of life and vegetation. Cool yourself down by visiting our unique sandy or pebble beaches, some truly peaceful and private and some organized and crowd, or others only accessible by boat. Take the chance to visit our "Diapontia" islands, a group of paradise islands at the most northern part of Greece. Finally, enjoy watching, dancing and eating throughout many folklore festivals and a lot of other cultural festivities that will give you the chance to interact with the locals and realize our rich history and culture.
The main road is just 700m away. In just 1km you can find the bus station with transportation through out the island and the center of Corfu. Every cottage has its own spacious parking area and the access from the main road to the farm is easily reachable by car.
Welcome shampoo and conditioner is provided. The guests have to provide their own for long stays.
