Hotel luxury in a Log Cabin

Have you ever wanted to stay in a log cabin? At the coast? How about .6 miles from the beach? You can walk to the beach if you want! I used to walk there every morning to watch the sunrise...absolutely gorgeous! Rockport-Fulton holds a special place in my heart, it was were I was raised! Unfortunately, I didn' t realize what a special place it was until I grew up and moved away. Now we come back every chance we get!! A little about how the house came to be and how/why it has a unique name.
My mother always wanted a log cabin, but we lived on the coast. Dad decided he was going to build her the dream home she had always wanted. It is in the middle of 9 city lots so you have lots of room to spread out. Dad was a western fan and our last name was Barta so he named the property Bartarosa (Ponderosa). My Dad passed in 2007 and Hurricane Harvey hit in 2017, Mom didn’t want to rebuild. We purchased the house and rebuilt the home and now we want to share the property with others. In the house there are 3 bedrooms, and 2 1/2 bathrooms. The master bedroom has a king bed and a queen sleeper sofa, the 2 guest rooms both have queen beds. We added an outdoor kitchen with a grill and 2 burners for shrimp, crab or crawfish boils. We also have a game room with a poker table and a 1/2 bath. We also have a screened in patio with lots of seating and a dining table. Outdoors you will find horseshoes, or just a shady place to enjoy. We are centrally located. Beach/Fishing = .6 miles; Downtown Shops = .8 miles; Port Aransas (Port A) = 18.6 miles; Corpus Christi = 31.9 miles

Bedrooms-All bedrooms have fans, hanging shelved and luggage racks in closets. All beds are triple sheeted using luxury sheets. There are vanity tables with lighted mirrors in each room as well as a bench to help with keeping you organized. There is also a Power Strip Tower that has 8 outlets and 6 USB ports on each nightstand for all of your electronics. Each bedroom also has a smart TV with Roku sticks.

Great stay

Everything was perfect. The 4th of July decorations honoring the military was noticed and special as we come from a military family. Enjoyed a long nap in the wonderful screened in pavilion under the ceiling fans after a day at the beach. We enjoyed the awesome grill and the kids enjoyed the Corn Hole and horseshoes. 2nd time staying and was not disappointed at all. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home!

Everything as it should be

Our stay (2 adult couples and a toddler) was just right. The property and house are spacious (large) and very comfortably appointed. The kitchen was well equipped. The living area was very comfortable. The wrap around porch was great in the morning and evening. The beds were comfortable, with a very large master suite. There was a charcuterie basket waiting for us, as well as various packaged snacks. I could go on, but it all comes down to: This is a great place. Loved it. Would definitely book it again.

Enjoyed the Bartarosa

We had a great stay at the Bartarosa. The property is clean, well stocked and in a good location for the beach. We especially enjoyed the outside porch. The owner and property manager were both extremely responsive and helpful. I’d definitely recommend to others.

Best Place Ever!!!!

This house hands down is the perfect home. The pictures do not give justice for how amazing it is. We visit family every year for 4th of July in Rockport because we have alot birthday’s around that time and this is the perfect house to hang out! The yard it beautiful and my grandson loved playing in it. Even has horse shoes for kids and adults. It is stocked to perfection. We had everything we needed. The manager is just a diamond from above! She is so sweet and left us the best welcome gifts!! I would get the house just for the bath tub! So relaxing. This is the perfect house if you want to relax all week or weekend/ if you want to go to beach then come home and cook on the grill and relax with the rocking chairs or have a gathering with the people you love in game room!! Thank you so much and we will be renting again.

Ample and Excellent Seating

I actually live a couple of miles from this property but my home doesn't have the seating for 20 people. This house was an excellent choice for my "after-party" after a dinner with 2 dozen invited guests. We all visited in the roomy outdoor screened-in patio. There was ample, comfortable seating and we all visited well into the night. The next evening we did it again, only this time we used the outdoor kitchen and grill. Several of my guests requested information on how to book this property in the future. I gave it to them. I will definitely book it again for gatherings such as this. By the way.... The inside of the house is absolutely gorgeous.

The Barta Rosa Has it All

My husband and I would give this property 10 stars if that was an option! The host and house manager are always available if you need anything. The house has absolutely every amenity you could possibly think of. It’s immaculate(and I’m picky)! The owners pamper you here! I’ve never stayed in another VRBO with all of the extras-(ie., coffee bar, cooking utensils, toiletries, etc) This would definitely be a great place for a family gathering or a getaway with friends. The screened porch and outdoor cooking area are awesome! It’s close to anything you need in Rockport. We’ll definitely stay here again!
