Sandfest geyaway

We made a last minute getaway to Port Aransas Sandfest ..(I prefer staying in n padre because it’s quieter and much less crowded)This place was well furnished, had a nice pool, and was only a short walk to the beach.

Island Vibes - lovely condo

We just spent a wonderful week at Island Vibes - the condo was clean, well-laid out and very comfortable with a lovely view over the private pond (great fun watching the fish jumping in and out of the water) and the Gulf in the distance from the 3rd floor balcony. Booking and check-in were a breeze! Just remember that there is no elevator, so you will get your steps in going up and down the stairs. I would thoroughly recommend staying at this cute apartment.

Slice of Texas Heaven

We enjoyed this slice of Texas Heaven while we went to my daughter’s college orientation at TAMU-CC. The condo was clean, close to the beach, and great restaurants. Will definitely book again.

Overall Pretty Good

Condo was nice and clean. However, it does have a musky 'old' smell inside but overall good. The stairs are a bit of a hassle. Otherwise, a good place to stay. The condo did not have any coffee or coffee filters which I thought was unusual, even hotel rooms provide those.

Thankful to walk to the beach although it’s on the side where vehicles are allowed to go. Property was just what we needed as 2 adults - get Brooklyn Pie co. Delivered and go to the Surfside Sandwich Shoppe! Checkin and out was super easy.

The property was cute inside. But immediately went you open the door you spelled call up the mold and mildew. Coming up the stairs as well. It is very moldy and mildew. Therefore it did not feel clean at all. Before I touched anything I mopped and disinfected the entire floor and all surfaces with Pine-Sol and disinfectant that I purchased myself. Because of this it made me feel uncomfortable the entire time. We used one of the white sheets to cover the sofa in order to feel comfortable sitting on it. The layout is nice and the beach location is perfect in the area was perfect we had a great time. It was just that the unit was very moldy and we could hardly get rid of the smell. If they did that it would be a better stay. Communication with the property was excellent. No issues there. But they have to get rid of the smell of mold for this unit

Great getaway!

This location is perfect. Close to the beach, and you can see the beach from the balcony, which was a plus for me. The staff answered all of my questions and were super nice. The only thing that bothered me is the tub didn’t drain very well. But overall I would stay here again.

Beyond what we expected!

We Absolutely Loved the condo, the views, and the island vibes we got during our stay! It was Absolutely perfect! It was clean, inviting, and very comfortable! The views are phenomenal! I love that you can see the beach from the bedroom window! I will say the first flight of stairs are killer. We would love to stay there again! We didn't want to leave.

Like a Two Star Hotel

I feel like I was in a two star hotel. The location was great, the community and view were nice and the floorplan worked. However, the unit was disappointing. First, it reaked of mold. The laminate floor was so loud and popped like bubble wrap with every step. Very little was provided in the way of supplies. You have a kitchen but bring everything for it, bring extra pillows and every toiletry. I like VRBO for a place that feels homey but, again, this felt like a two star hotel but with a kitchen. I'd stay at the complex again but not this unit.

Beach retreat

Stay was good, property is close to beach and fairly clean. Kids enjoyed body surfing in gulf and playing on sand dunes. Metal table on balcony is rusted and falling apart, if you cut your foot with these rusted metal chards, you may need a tetanus shot. I also dont understand why in the last two vacation rentals I have used with my family, only 2 rolls of toilet paper are left with no extra! Family of 4 for 3 days requires more TP and no one after hours to replenish! Had to go to pool bathrooms and fill my pockets with extra tp pieces! I know there was a run on tp during Covid but I doubt people would steal it if you left a few extra rolls.

Great spot for two

Spacious well designed third floor unit. (Really only two flights). Could use some more cookware if you’re not eating out. Our reserved parking spot was taken when we arrived so we parked a few spots down. The next morning another tenant was not happy with me. Management might work on a remedy for that.

Ok, but not great

This place was not terrible, but I don't think I would return or recommend. The property as a whole was not well taken care of. The common areas (which I understand are not the the renters responsibility) were dirty. The interior was fine, but needs updating. Especially the bathroom. No hot water either. Not sure why, and cant be sure if it was something that would be addressed. I just didn't want to mess with it.  The kitchen was stocked well enough with what I needed to cook -which was needed since we used it a lot instead of going out to eat due to the pandemic. Also, please be sure you are ok with going up pretty steep stairs to the third floor if you select this one. We were fine with it except when we were hauling our stuff up when we arrived and down when we left. I would skip an upper floor in the future unless there is an elevator. I did like that there was a dedicated parking spot that was close to the entrance. It is very close to a nice beach and walking is very doable, but if you want to haul all your beach stuff, you would need to drive. I would say that overall, it was fine enough and we had a great stay.

Ants in condo

This was our first trip to the beach as a family. We wanted to stay at a location close to the beach. While the property had a nice area to fish and a pool (that wasn’t open because of COVID), we spent most of our time at the beach. Checking in was easy and convenient. The property itself seemed dated in the halls but the inside of the condo was nice. My biggest complaint were ants. We had small ants all over the condo and one night I woke up with ants crawling on me in bed. I emailed management through the app, but we never heard from them. We only stayed a couple days so it wouldn’t have been convenient to move but wanted to share for others who may stay here.
