House Mountain Retreat

The PERFECT Country Retreat for anyone who wants to get away from it all. (It’s Firefly Season) House Mountain Retreat is in the country yet close to Knoxville, Sevierville, Pigeon Forge & Gatlinburg. Enjoy your unobstructed view of House Mountain while you watch horses, cows and goats graze in the pasture. Your space has a screened in porch to admire the ranch or explore on your own for no extra fee. We are also able to accommodate our friends with horses. Please message us for availability.

The space
You will love the beautifully designed space that includes a comfortable bed, two TVs, WiFi, Kitchenette with mini fridge, microwave & coffee maker. We provide towels, hair dryer, shampoo, some spices and coffee. The vibe is Ranch and is perfect for a couples get away, staycation or self care trip. We have extra blankets and dishes for your use.
Guest access
We have plenty of parking around the ranch. You can park up front by the main house and apartment or down by the barn when you visit our horses.
Other things to note
If you are interested in taking a tour of our Ranch, please send us a message and we can arrange something for you. Is this a romantic get away? Special occasion like a birthday or anniversary? We really enjoyed our stay at House Mountain Retreat. Michelle had every convenience one could think of in the cute apartment. Since the weather was nice we enjoyed the screened in deck area with a beautiful view of the mountain, lots of places to walk and see the horses. It was a real retreat.

Awesome Time !!

The entire atmosphere was so beautiful, peaceful and relaxing. We enjoyed seeing the farm and all the animals there, including the dozens of beautiful horses that are so well cared for. The place was very clean and Michelle was so very friendly and accommodating. We look forward to returning again some day to catch up with some new friends. You will not regret staying here.

Just What We Needed!

House Mountain Retreat offered us the space to unwind, relax, and prepare for the next part of our trip. The indoor area is nicely decorated and the bed is very comfortable. The best part, however, is the screen porch and the views of the birds, animals, mountain, and sky. Wonderful!!

Great spot!

The spot was just out of the way enough to where you have peace and quiet from the idiots with loud mufflers trying to compensate for small wieners but not too far from civilization. It's the best of both worlds.

Great location for a Vols weekend visit

We had a great stay visiting our son and his fiancĂ© at UT for the weekend. The property is exceptionally clean and the decor was awesome. Thanks, Michelle and team for a great stay and we will definitely come back. Hopefully next time we have more time to see more of the farm and the horses😊

Absolutely the best place I have ever stayed at. The ranch this is located on is beautiful, serene, and peaceful. The horses and other animals are wonderful to watch. The owner, Michelle, is great! The place itself is beautifully decorated. Wonderful place!

Tranquil and Beautiful

What a peaceful and serene setting! Sorta felt like stepping back in time at this wonderful horse ranch. Gracious host was gentle and welcoming. We sure appreciated our time there. Clean, comfortable with attention to detail. Knoxville hotels were full and expensive

The space is extremely clean, decorated very comfortably and cute, view is fantastic. Quiet and peaceful stay. My daughter did a quick lesson with Michelle (property owner) and she was fantastic. Highly recommend this property and I plan to go back.

Wow! What a beauty!

Not going to lie, the surrounding area wasn’t legendary (Greater Knoxville, Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg) BUT if you know what you’re in for and still go - visit Michelle here. What an amazing property - an active horse farm with incredible views. The lodgings were Fresh! Clean, modern, cool. 2 rooms 2 TVs beautiful screened in porch w a nice view .. outstanding!

This was just what my husband and I were looking for. This place was very peaceful, especially clean, and easy to check into. We enjoyed watching the farm animals and looking at House Mountain as we sat on the screened in porch late afternoon. We highly recommend if you are looking for some peace and quiet.

Wonderful!

Wow! What a hidden gem. I came to see the horses but the baby goats stole the show! The view of the farm animals is spectacular. Space was tastefully decorated and the owner is so nice. We definitely be back.

At first, I was surprised that the rooms were attached to the house, just because the listing said I would have the place to myself, so I could hear the "neighbors" that lived in the main house. But it was fine because they quieted down about 9pm. The place was beautiful, very well kept and the area was VERY peaceful. I loved it!
