A very nice place to stay

This location is a gem and very nice place to stay that is far enough from tourists spots but close enough to enjoy the culture of East Tennessee.

Nice cabin!

We enjoyed our stay! The cabin was comfortable and staff was friendly. We started the stay without any tv, as the satellite connection was severed somehow prior to our stay. This was not the property manager's fault and communicated to us prior to our arrival. It was just a bit of a bummer. They did get this fixed mid-week as the satellite company didn't show up the day they originally said they would. There are other houses within view of the cabin, which isn't evident from the listing. However, we didn't see or hear anyone and the back where the hot tub is located is very private. We highly recommend the hiking trails that are a short distance from the cabin. We did both the Martin Bald Loop Trail Hikes and Cosby Nature trail. We also enjoyed a horseback ride with Sugarlands Horse Ranch in Gatlinburg and Smoky Mountain Llama Treks closer to Newport. We drove to Newport for groceries the first night, however the Dollar General closer to the cabin has groceries and we used that the rest of the week. The Woodshed restaurant in Cosby was also really good. All in all, we really liked being away from the huge fall break crowds in Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge and liked the quiet of Cosby. This cabin is a great option if you're looking for a quiet setting.

A bit of a drive, but totally worth it!

Our family throughly enjoyed our stay at Moosetrax, in Cosby, Tennessee! We spent Christmas 2022 there and it was magical. Winter weather came through with temps in the single digits causing issues for many. We heard of lots of folks experiencing power outages, burst pipes and roads too icy to drive on, but not us. Our little cabin was a O-K! We did have an issue with the fireplace and management answered our call on Christmas Eve and someone arrived early Christmas morning to help. I must say we found the location a bit too far from PF and GB for our taste, 40 mins on a good day. However, if peace and quiet in a clean cabin in a quiet neighborhood is what you want, you won’t go wrong with Moosetrax!

Heaven on Earth!

This spot exceeded expectations in more ways than one! If you’re looking for a quiet, secluded escape but still within reasonable distance to Gatlinburg’s attractions, THIS is your place! Beautiful, breathtaking views, very spacious, hot tub is an added bonus! Great communication, check in and check out process a breeze! 5 stars all the way around! Cannot wait to go back:)

Christmas Vacation

Loved the openness and privacy. The kids loved playing checkers and card games that were stashed in the wooden tables. The kitchen had everything we needed, except a pizza cutter, but a knife wished just fine. Also enjoyed the view from the front deck. Having a fireplace was really nice for the cold nights. Overall it was just wonderful. Just the getaway we needed.

Great Family/Friends Weekend

This property was extremely clean and nice, we were looking for a secluded cabin with convenient driving to Gatlinburg attractions. This was a great location and close to Walmart and other convenient stores. The cabin was well equipment with kitchen utensils. We will definitely stay here again and recommend others checkout this property.

Perfect cabin stay in the smokey mountains!

We had a wonderful time in this spotless cabin in the woods. This beautiful cabin was perfect for relaxing. It was very spacious, decorated nicely, had all the dishes we needed and soft comfy beds, and again was spotless! I was so impressed with the cleanliness. I am one of those picky types who brings my own sheets and towels to a vrbo, "just in case", and we didnt even have to unpack them! I could have even eaten right off the refrigerator shelves, they were so clean! More than anything else, this made my stay. The only thing that could gave made it better was being closer to Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge. We spent a lot of time in the car getting to the local attractions, but this is by no means the fault of the property managers. Just lack of research on my part. Thanks again to Red Awning Rentals for a wonderful vacation!
