The room was clean and spacious. Our dogs were very welcomed, although they were not allowed anywhere else in the hotel, not even the bar. We’re from Cornwall where dogs are welcome everywhere, bars, restaurants and shops. We were visiting family in the area so it provided us with a good base. We will stay here again on our next visit.

Get what you pay for

Stayed with my son for an overnight stay before a sports tournament in Crawley the next morning. Just needed cheap beds for the night, and therefore it served its purpose, but you do get what you pay for. Receptionist for friendly and polite, though she did not explain anything about the facilities i.e. if/when the Spa was open, where to eat or how to order food, etc. Worked out for ourselves that we could order bar food. But the bar staff could really do with customer service training. From the unfriendly greeting, and being 'tutted' at when changing my order slightly, to being told when can go and get our own cutlery and condiments, it was just a very unpleasant experience. The rooms themselves are very dated, beds were pure spring mattresses that were not very comfortable, the bathroom door jammed every time, there were no sockets next to the beds ..... I could go on. But as I said, you get what you pay for and it served the purpose.

It’s an old hotel which needs updation. The location is fine room was clean . But there is a weird smell in the corridors . Above all the attitude of the reception was terrible. No smile or sign of welcoming attitude

Pleasant place.

Vert friendly and helpful staff at the reception desk and bar/restaurant. The room was comfortable and clean. Health club area was tidy and well equipped.
