Fantastic Waterfront Home Great for Relaxing, Scalloping, Fishing & Kayaking!!!

This is a recently remodeled beautiful house with a well-manicured lawn with 145' of seawall on a navigable canal for bay boats, and shallow water drafting vessels with no obstructions and no low overhead bridges that leads to the Gulf of Mexico and Kings Bay via Crystal River. Excellent location in Crystal River Preserve State Park just off Fort Island Trail that is a short boat ride to scallop waters, world-famous flats fishing and numerous world-famous freshwater springs. Enjoy kayaking (3 kayaks provided including one 2-person kayak), swimming with the manatees, fishing, exploring, wildlife viewing, snorkeling and diving. We have caught snook, snapper, trout and small tarpon and numerous other species of fish on our seawall and floating dock. A biking and walking trail are less than a quarter mile away. The only beach in the area is just a 5-minute drive. This vacation house has a brand-new fully equipped kitchen (granite tops), and a remodeled bathrooms. The home is built with a split floor plan, the master bedroom has a walk-in closet and a comfortable king-size bed & the second bedroom has two bunk beds (great for the kids), the top bunks are twin-size with full-size bottom bunks suitable for adults. The home sleeps 6 comfortably. The central air conditioning is newer and keeps the house very cool in the summer months. The living room has a brand new 65' HD Smart TV (numerous movies, music and tv stations including Net Flix, Amazon, FUBO with local and national stations) and a bumper pool/card table. We also offer high speed internet/WIFI. Enjoy a large screened-in back porch with a tiki-bar, rope-lighting for a great ambience at night with very comfortable newer outdoor furniture and a gas-grill. Spend your evenings around the fire pit with plenty of chairs for all to enjoy. Floating dock for your boat including filet board, electric and fresh water, the boat ramp is just minutes away. We provide a Keurig Coffee Maker stocked with a variety of individual coffees, teas, sugar and creamers for your enjoyment. Also, we have a brand-new washer and dryer for your convenience. This home was everything we needed and more! It has a spacious layout with 2 bedrooms and 2 dining areas, which is ample space to accommodate meals and workspace. The kitchen has a nicely stocked Keurig station, all the necessary items to cook and serving trays. The outdoor area was so special! Lots of tropical seating and a tiki bar. What fun!! We docked our boat in the back and it was a quick trip to the marina for ice, fuel and scalloping. Also, it was very very clean! Quiet neighborhood. Definitely a great place to stay.

Great place to stay on Crystal River

Great house and property with direct access to the river. Very accommodating for our family of four. We could of added a few more of the kids friends- there was plenty of room. Highly recommend!

4th of July Weekend

We stayed for 5 days over July 4th weekend- house was very clean and well appointed as represented on VRBO. Only negative - canal is shared with Encore campground that has lots of docks/boats. Getting the boat out of the canal to Crystal River channel, especially during busy holiday weekend, was worrisome. Lots of boat traffic in canal. Thankfully we had a good captain!! Overall a great time! Would rent again!

Felt At Home

The rental process was very smooth and easy. The owner was very attentive to any comments or issues we had. The property was well equipped. The location was ideal. We loved watching all the nature on the canal. Loved the proximity to Fort Island Beach, hiking trails, and biking trails. It felt like a home, not a rental.

August Scallop Trip

We enjoyed the property as it was one of the cleanest VRBO rentals we have ever stayed at. Dock accommodates a 24’ boat nicely. Water on the dock and the fish cleaning table came in handy. Overall nice place.

Family fishing trip

We rented this property with our kids to take a weekend fishing trip. The house was clean and comfortable. The fish cleaning station was helpful at the end of the day and ride out to the bay was short. The tide was really low one day so that was a very slow careful ride back in so just keep that in mind if you have a boat that needs depth. We have a 25’ off shore, I’m sure the bay boats and pontoons would be just fine. Not a complaint just a helpful point that may help another guest. The kitchen had all the needed necessities and the coffee station was a great bonus . Thanks for having us at your home!

Summer vacay

We were very satisfied with the house. We docked our 25 ft with twims and had no problems getting in and out. Very peaceful n relaxing place. We got to swim with manatees. It is a easy run to scallop and to the springs. Hope to return. We had an amazing time.

Perfect scallop house

Our family enjoyed our time during our stay. The house had everything you could need to cook a meal which is saying something vs other rentals! We all felt very cozy and enjoyed the back enclosed patio all weekend.

Great place on the canal!!

The home has been beautifully remodeled. The backporch and yard is great for hanging out and fishing off dock. We did catch catfish. BUT make sure you have your FL fishing licenses!! The DNR came up and down the canal while we were there. I love to cook while on vaca and the kitchen was very well appointed. The local beaches are nice but small. If you want bigger beaches & more waves head to St Petes Beach was only 1hr 45 min drive. Not bad if you stay the day. We didnt want to leave such a nice and relaxing place. Highly recommend. Excellent indoor and outdoor experience

The home was wonderful, it had that new home feeling. The layout was really nice for a crowd or for two. There were a lot of nice places inside and out to sit and relax with a canal view. We fished, kayaked and paddleboarded with easy access to all. For the adventurous type it was a relatively short paddle from the dock to the Kings' Bay springs, will definitely return.

Lovely home for getaway

The home was very clean and well appointed. Loved the screened in porch. I still had to work remotely so the porch was a lovely spot to work from. Coffee bar with Keurig and coffees was a nice touch. Home comes with kayaks but unfortunately was too windy and cold. Great location - close to Fort Island Gulf Beach, Crystal River Archaeological Park, Three Sisters Springs , Heritage Village, restaurants and grocery. High speed WiFi was great for work and our college student who was doing online classes and movies at night.

Crystal River House

This was just what we wanted. Quiet, great views like various birds, fish (sheep head, bass, and mullet). close to activities, like swimming with the Manatees, some great restaurants. Just wanted to relax on the porch, perfect!!

Kids had a blast fishing off the dock - bass, bluegill and cat fish - Definitely go to the Homosassa Springs Wildlife park and the Rainbow River. House was a great home base for our adventures. Screened in porch is the key.

Everything was perfect. They provide so many extras. It’s in a quiet neighborhood and the canal is great for kayaking (provided). Would highly recommend for a quiet get away.

Perfect for our vacation

We had an extended weekend of scalloping and fishing. The dock for the boat had power and water. The canal was a little sketchy at low tide but we were able to get our 25 foot bay boat in and out without difficulty. The house was well-equipped and clean from the propane barbecue, screened in patio, kitchen, bumper pool table, bedrooms and bathrooms, to the location close to the mouth of the river. It was an awesome trip. We will be back next year.

Great stay!

My husband and I took our kids and their friend scalloping. Upon arriving kids were excited to see they had bunk beds, tiki hut to play restaurant and ran out to look in canal. The house was very clean and roomy. We brought our boat had plenty of room to park trailer. Would defiantly recommend this house for a family or a group. The owner was easy to get ahold of and answered a few questions we had promptly. Would definitely stay there again. The only thing I would look into before you bring a boat would be the tide schedule. It is not a deep canal and we left on high tide and also waited for high tide to return. We had a great time!!
