Secluded on 12 private wooded acres overlooking a quiet lake, you will find 6 bedrooms and 5 full/2 half baths in over 6,000 square feet of log cabin living.

Vaulted ceilings, a game room, and a surround sound theater room with reclining seats await you and your guests. A chef's kitchen is completely stocked with all the necessary supplies to help you create the perfect getaway meals or cookouts on the grill. Evenings on the decks look west for a gorgeous sunset over the Blue Ridge mountains across the lake. Finish your nights off with a dip in the hot tub to wash your worries away.

The location is perfect for friend and family trips as it is near multiple wineries, breweries, antiques, and local Main Street shopping. Don't worry if it rains; you can fill your days in the dedicated puzzle room with lots of puzzles and games, theater room, or pub/game room, which includes a pool table, foosball, ping-pong, and air hockey. Even better for families with young children, as the house is stocked with kid-friendly amenities (toys, pack-n-play, baby seat, utensils, plates, and sippy cups). All within an easy drive to Charlottesville, Luray or Shenandoah National Park, VA.

The house was awesome for all of our guests. Everyone from seniors to new parents with young children.All of the bedrooms and bathrooms were convenient and comfortable. The media and game rooms were the absolute best. The kitchen was a chef’s dream as we cooked many meals there.The pool and hot tub added a very special element that we enjoyed, and the fire pit a special ambiance at night that we enjoyed.There is plenty of parking. If you’re hosting a family get together, you will have zero regrets staying here.

The Blue Bird Cabin was perfect for our large family gathering. The home provided everything and more that we could wish for. Truly is one of the best appointed rentals we have visited. Everything was of high quality. The children enjoyed the abundance of toys and games. There are large spaces for everyone to hangout and enjoy from the great room to the game room to the pool and plentiful outside and inside seating areas. The lake is beautiful and was fun to kayak and paddle board. The kitchen was astoundingly well stocked with every kind of pot, pan, dishware, and spice. The hosts were immediately available, responsive, and helpful. We had a terrific stay and HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I honestly cannot say enough great things about this property. This is one of the best houses we have ever rented. All of the rooms were beautiful and exactly as described. The pool was amazing and accommodated our large group of 15. The lake was a bit of a hike but still gorgeous through the trees. It had any amenity that you could ever want from the outside, to the game rooms to the kitchen. It felt like a lot of care was taken from the owners to provide a great experience for their guests and we had a GREAT experience. Would definitely stay here again.

Annual Family Vacation

Our family enjoyed our week stay. The house was very spacious, the beds were comfortable, and the kitchen was well equipped. The house had many games, books, and movies to choose from for the few days we had some rain. The pool and hot tub were great. Courtney, the property manager, was very quick to respond when we had questions.

Our family enjoyed a week together. The home and amenities were wonderful. The cabin was spacious and very clean. There were several toys for children of different ages. The kitchen was well stock with appliances, dishes and glassware.We mainly used the pool, hot tub, firepit, media room and game room. There were a few glitches with the pool's circuit breaker, however the property manager was very responsive and quick to resolve. All the family members mentioned "What a great place!"

Perfect Family Reunion House

We were in Culpepper for a family wedding. The reception was at the nearby country club, so the location was great. The kitchen was fully stocked, hot tub & grill worked great, loved ping pong table & fun things to do in the house. Enough room for everyone to space out & relax together. No ice maker so had to buy a bag of ice, but that was an easy solution!!!

Incredible Oasis

This property is an amazing hidden gem that we consider ourselves very fortunate to have found. Driving up the wooded driveway not only takes you to this wonderful home but to an incredible oasis. I can't rave enough about how clean everything was. We always rent mid-late August and very frequently properties are looking pretty tired after being rented all summer. This was not the case with Blue Bird. It was immaculate, including the windows! I loved, Loved, LOVED that the trees on the lot were not sacrificed for the sake of lake views. Don't misunderstand, you can see the lake but it is very natural and beautiful. There were even bald eagles and deer. Cori and her team were just a text away and very responsive. We had an amazing time visiting breweries, and vineyards as well as Shenandoah. We went horseback riding at Graves' Mountain and antiquing at Country Shoppes of Culpeper. The property is close to restaurants and shopping and grocery stores. Being able to bring our dogs is such an added bonus and I really appreciate pet-friendly properties. An all around 5 star vacation!

A Touch of Heaven

Bluebird Cabin is an amazing hidden gem overlooking a beautiful lake in a mountain setting. My grandchildren loved the pool, the bunk room ,and watching movies in the theatre room. There were toys, games and puzzles as an added bonus. The home is beautifully decorated and well laid out for all to have their own privacy. We are already talking about coming back for our next family vacation! The hosts were available throughout our stay to answer any questions and responded immediately to my texts!! I highly recommend this hidden treasure!

Everything was better than imagined. It was a wonderful home to make family memories both indoors and outdoors. You could never be disappointed in this beautiful home. The owner thought of everything to make it a special vacation spot. I have never been to a home with so many supplies. I didn't want to leave and I will go back one day. My 12 year old grandson said we should go there every year-now that's quite an endorsement!

Amazing property for 3 generations

This property has been voted the “best vacation house” by everyone in our group; ages 18 - 80. The pool area was just amazing for the VA heat wave. The family used every outdoor space during our stay. The game room and theater area was a hit by the younger crowd. The puzzle room was perfect for the yearly vacation puzzle. Comfortable beds throughout the house, areas for quiet time and anything you would need to create meals is in this kitchen. The owners and property manager were very quick to respond to any questions we hade. Thank you Cori and Ted for sharing this amazing property with others! We hope to return in 2026. The only downfall was that the trail to the lake is very steep. Older family members weren’t able to enjoy lakeside or kayak. A switchback trail would make this property an 11/10.

Beautiful place

Worth staying with tons of amenities. A negative would be access to the lake. Very steep hill and not easy to navigate. Was planning on doing a lot of fishing but couldn’t due to lake access. Also, the dock was very unstable as it was one of those small plastic docks. This place would be a triple A+ if lake access was much better with a better dock. Also, too may trees to enjoy lake view from house and deck areas.

Top notch property

This property has so much space! We had a large group spanning a very wide age range. Truly offers something for everyone and we never felt on top of each other. The outdoor space is beyond exceptional and the kitchen was fully stocked. Not only was everything clean but the quality is very nice. Communication was seamless and response time was nearly immediate. We will be fortunate if we can stay again in the future.

Great home base to explore the area - and stay in when it rains

The house was impeccably maintained both inside and out! Our friends and family were all super comfortable and enjoyed making use of the amenities. The house is also super dog friendly, including a fence around the property! The main downside was the bunk room didn't have its own shower, so if you have a lot of people staying in there, just make sure the other folks upstairs are prepared to share their ensuite bathrooms.

Cousins Family Reunion

We loved everything about this property. Our only regret was not being able to have a few more days here! We were there for the eclipse and watched from the backyard. We gathered for meals at the dining table which held all of us perfectly. We prepared meals together in the beautiful lot hen with the top of the line appliances, gathered in the great room for family photos and discussed our memories. We travelled easily to Luray Caverns and Shenandoah Park and took in the beautiful mountain vistas. We highly recommend this property and hope to revisit on the future.

Exception Stay in Culpeper

This property was booked as a hosting location for a group of women who met in high school and/or in college (we all turn 60 this year!). The house was perfect for the group, with beautiful interior and exterior spaces in which to gather. We utilized every amenity available to us!! Pool, hot tub, game room, kayaks and paddle board, and a lovely kitchen. Would recommend this property to a similar group, or to a family with kids. There are so many activities and lovely amenities! Thank you for a most memorable stay.
