Haven - Ideal Group Getaway!
A short stroll from Daylesford's vibrant shopping precinct, beautiful Lake Daylesford, the botanic gardens and a playground perfect for younger children, and a skatepark for the older ones, it's an unbeatable home in an ideal location.
With the clever layering of gorgeous fabrics, moody paint tones, luxurious bedding, and thoughtful interior elements, there is a sense of relaxed elegance throughout the home. Bedrooms feature relaxing tones, linen bed heads, and sheer and blackout blinds. The dining/living area is ideal for entertaining or relaxing in front of the fire with a drink or card game. Two living areas create plenty of space to settle in for a fun getaway and for adults and kids to break out and have separate entertaining zones.
Outside there is a large deck with a BBQ and outdoor setting. The yard features a firepit perfect for star gazing on those cool clear country evenings. Four bedrooms offering the option of king beds or singles and three contemporary bathrooms make it an ideal option for a girl's weekend getaway.
Bedding: The king-size beds in all bedrooms can be split into 2 x singles if required. We will contact you when your booking is received to confirm your preferred bedding configuration.
Great location and facilities. The fire pit was popular. Small points to note:
Only found the firewood by chance under the deck. There were no tea towels and not enough wine glasses, otherwise all good!
Because we had not seen fellow family members in 5 years (because of COVID), Haven was the perfect property to allow us the time to chat and catch up with recent events due to its shared communal spaces that were conducive to good conversation and laughter!
It's convenient location also enabled us to make the most of the local attractions, including those on food!
I would highly recommend the property to future guests.
We stayed here for a 4-day long weekend with 2 other couples. The house was roomy with 2 lounge areas meaning those looking for some quiet time had somewhere to escape. We didn't use the lovely verandah, fire pit and BBQ as the weather was cooler and it rained (but great facilities). Very close to town with restauarants just around the corner, we could have easily walked everywhere (except for the rain) It was well heated and equiped with extra doonas and blankets (not that we needed them). I only have 2 criticisms. Firstly - there were NO champagne flutes of any description. Wine glasses only. Secondly, no coffee pods were provided for the coffee machine. I could tell previous tennants had attempted to buy various pods, as there were a collection of them in the kitchen - none of which fit the machine. We received a lovely hamper on arrival, which contained some fabulous stuff, including more wrong-sized coffee pods!
The house was well laid out with lots of space. There were 6 of us and we never felt crowded. Bathrooms and showers were good. Really pleasant outdoor table and chairs so we could sit outside under cover and have breakfast and lunch.
Unfortunately the cleaners hadn't cleaned the BBQ which had lots of grease that had pooled underneath the lid. Also the fridge had poor quality shelves in the door and one had broken before we arrived (it had been placed on top of the fridge) and the other one broke during our stay. This did not detract from our stay and we would recommend it as a very good property.
