Staff was *amazing and *accommodating and worked to resolve an issue and the pool was decent. The hotel overall seems tired. Upon arrival, the room had hair in the sink. taped seams on the walls were breaking, toilet had crumbling caulk around the base, bathroom had obvious moisture issues on the walls. Breakfast is pretty much non-existent, so I wish I would've spent more at another hotel with a decent breakfast--probably would have been an upgrade overall.

Awesome place

Everything was great from front desk,breakfast, pool. Everyone there was great. Front desk manager showed us on a map the best places to hike and catch waterfalls. Had biscuits and gravy for breakfast. Great place to stay.

This property is in serious need of updating. The lavatory's height was meant for grade schoolers, it still has round front toilets, the faucets needed upgrading, there was a shortage of outlets considering the need for charging of today's personal items, there may be a need of carpet cleaning (or upgrading). However, the staff was friendly and helpful.

Spearfish is a pretty expensive place to stay, so given that, this is a pretty well-priced value property. The pool and hot tub area is very nice and the hotel is in a good, convenient location. Beds are pretty comfortable. For the bad: Our room smelled like we were staying in an ash tray. I let them know but they were sold out so we couldn't be moved. The breakfast was just a few prepackaged carbs, two cereals, toast and juice and apple sauce. It wasn't one of the better breakfasts in our trip. Overall, one night, on a budget, it's an ok stay.
