Great place--room was great. The only comment was that they charge for parking. In fact they charge more than the Bellagio in Las Vegas to self park you car!!!!!!!!

Nice location. Second time I’ve stayed here. Very convenient for the little concert menu right by the hotel also. Big hotel make sure you figure out the best place to park to gain access in and out of your room otherwise you’re gonna be going for a long walks in hallways that are unnecessary. The rooms are fine nothing special but they have everything you need.

The staff were great upon check in however both nights we could hear people walking in the room above us late into the night and we found toenail clippings on the carpet next to the bed from the previous guest. The breakfast was delicious and the waitstaff excellent. They need to put some sound proofing into the building you can hear the neighbors bathroom fan and they allow dogs and some dogs in the room down the hall barked a lot.

We were rushed during breakfast. 1 piece of bacon left. Poor signs throughout hotel to find our room. Worst of all. We were parked in handicap and their was a tractor parked right up against our vehicle making it impossible to access the passenger side of the vehicle. Needs major cleaning. Door tracks and sliding door was filthy. Burn hole in patio chair. I am completely shocked this is a Hilton! Door to patio hardly opens.

Positives: proximity to Del Mar fairgrounds, staff was courteous and bed was comfortable. Negatives: When I was told my room location, I was to go down the hall around the corner, which I did. Couldn’t find said room so I asked another employee and got the same response. Turns out my room was down the hall, around the corner, through doors leading to the outside and back inside from another set of doors. Would have been great to have that clarity. The room smelled of mildew, the bathroom sink didn’t drain at all and the patio door was unlocked upon arrival which was really surprising and some strange loud buzzing happening outside my room for 10 minutes later in the evening. Add these things to the $35 parking fee and I’m not sure I’d stay there again. If I’m spending a decent amount of money for a hotel stay, these are things I would expect to have to deal with.
