Quaint Cottage Retreat on Secluded Cove of Wall Lake

Quaint, cozy cottage is a true treasure! While a lot of places on a lake are right next to each other, this property is a truly private oasis, set back in the cove, surrounded by trees and located on a dead-end road with only woods across the road. The cottage has been completely renovated and updated, and from the moment you walk in the door, the vibrant colors make you feel cheerful. We call it our "happy place." It has a welcoming mud room with cubbies to put your shoes, and hooks to hang your coats. There is a convenient washer and dryer in the mud room. There are two welcoming bedrooms, one with a full bed with views of the woods and tall pines, and the other with a queen bed with a view of the side yard. Both have ample storage space in the closets, bed frame drawers and nightstands so you can make yourselves at home. There is also a double futon in the front room and a queen sized air mattress for two additional guests. There is one full bathroom. There is a galley kitchen with built-in banquette seating in the dining room. The table is on wheels for easy access to the corner seating. The living room is very cozy with modern amenities, including a couch and love seat and swivel chairs to face the tv or the lake. It is tastefully decorated with metal and wood wall art and built in book cases filled with books and games for your enjoyment. There is a bonus room off the living room for reading and relaxing or just viewing the cove. A sliding glass door opens up onto the phenomenal 700 square foot deck that offers outdoor space with a grill and refrigerator and spaces for gathering, eating, relaxing and making life-time memories. Steps off the deck lead to a stone fire-pit with additional seating, and outdoor lighting to set the mood. There is also a dock with a small table and chairs to have coffee in the morning. Although pets are not allowed, there are enough creatures to keep you company. From the cove you can sit back and listen to the bullfrogs, watch the blue herons, and fish from the dock. Although we don't allow people to bring in their own boats to this private lake, there are kayaks, a pedal boat, and a small fishing boat with oars for use to explore the lake. The pedal boat holds 4 people up to 800 pounds and has a platform from which you can dive off of, and a ladder to climb back up on. You can also fish off the pedal boat. Also, it’s important to note that there is no beach or recommended swimming in the cove, but the pedal boat allows you to get to the open lake for a refreshing swim. There is also a "Point" on the lake where people can go to swim that is shallow and people also dock their boats or enjoy floating. This is truly an oasis. Looking forward to your visit. Great getaway

Great dock , deck and outdoor space! We really appreciated use of pedal boat and kayaks and row boat. Fire pit and outdoor seating were fantastic. Very cute house - so functional and beautifully decorated. We had a great time fishing, swimming (after pedaling to the sand bar) and being on the water. Minor points - construction of a large house next door and check in code did not work. But Tammy was very responsive and came right over.

This was our second year staying at this beautiful property. Once again we greatly enjoyed the peace and quiet in the nature surrounding area. the fishing in the cove as well as in the big lake was excellent! I was lucky enough to catch a 3 pound largemouth bass. If we encountered any small issues, Paula was quick to respond and attend to them. We stayed four nights and have planned to stay five nights next year to further enjoy this wonderful home.

Book it, you won’t regret it! A long-weekend “friendcation” was perfectly set in this little lake cottage. The pedal boat and kayaks were just what we needed to get on the lake, the deck was ideal for chatting in the evening, and the kitchen was well stocked with the right equipment for us all to take turns cooking. These ladies know how to host!

Treasure on the lake

Every room was a wonderful surprise with a new whimsical find to happily show everyone else, and the out was just as beautiful and fun!!!Our last last surprise was finally figuring out where the delicate chime sound was coming from, the motion sensor ( which only pleasantly tinkled a few times a day). We will return!!!!!!!

Much needed long weekend retreat for 18th wedding anniversary

The property is exactly as described. Its well laid out and very nicely decorated. The paddle boat is fantastic and worked well for our fishing excursions on the lake where we caught bass, perch, crappie, and bluegill all day long. This was our first trip to the great lake area and I do not believe we could have picked a better location.

My daughter and I have been coming here for three years in a row! There is no better place to relax, regroup and just find that peace you’ve been looking for! The hosts are the kindest, sweetest and most genuine people you will ever meet! From sunrise to sunset you can enjoy the sounds of nature, kayak or pedal pontoon the lake, nap or read on the reclining deck chairs, play cards or have a drink at the table on the dock or just hang out in the cottage and enjoy the comfort of feeling like you have just found a home away from home 💕 You will not regret choosing this cottage to make your memories in!!!

A great little cottage retreat

We really enjoyed this nicely decorated clean and bright roomy cottage in Delton. Living in Arizona, we especially enjoyed the green trees, grass, and the country feel of the area along with the surrounding lakes. Being on the cove was quiet and we did enjoy a paddle boat ride when the weather cooperated. The cottage was well equipped with everything we needed. The hosts were very accommodating and responded very quickly to any questions we had. Checkin and checkout process was also super easy. Our only recommendation would be to add memory foam toppers to the beds. Overall, the place is a gem and we would definitely stay here again!
