“Life Is Better At River Bend Lodge!”

This refreshed retreat is nestled on a hillside overlooking the foothills of Yonah Mountain with almost 300 feet of private bank along the bend of the Soque River with a NEW riverside entertainment patio and outdoor picnic bench. Within a short drive, discover the beautiful hikes of Tallulah Gorge and Toccoa Falls, enjoy one of the many wineries or breweries nearby
 or stay on property where you can tube, kayak, paddle or fish right from your private riverbank. Endless adventure awaits you year-round. You will be minutes from downtown Helen, yet you will feel like you are in your own world!

The Space

The Lodge is perfect for gathering! While fully renovated and contemporary, River Bend gives nods to a retro hunting lodge with its traditional log construction. An impressively large fireplace crafted from local stone greets you as you step into the living room, surrounded with comfy furniture for lingering with friends. The fully equipped kitchen includes a water filtration system, and a large pantry and is accompanied by a custom dining table to seat ten people. There is also a ten-person dining table on the elevated back porch if you prefer dining outdoors in the fresh mountain air. From the three porches, enjoy beautiful views of the river, the woodsy trail, and the forested foothills beyond. The back porch and entertainment deck both have westward/sunset views for a fantastic view every evening to enjoy gorgeous sunsets!

The ground-level space, referred to as “Rainy Day Revival” for its ability to turn any rainy day into a good time, is reminiscent of a park ranger station with a speakeasy twist. It is outfitted with all the necessities including a regulation size pool table, dart board, board games table, and cozy movie nook with a 70” TV. A Full Basement dehumidifier system in set up to keep you comfortable and relaxed! Bring the whole family as the home is designed with our younger guests in mind. A high chair, changing pad, and pack n play are available for use.

Leading you out onto the back deck, you will enjoy a cozy time in the hot tub with uninterrupted and private views through the forest, or maybe you join the fun at the small grassed area perfect for yard games and the fire pit with lounge seating.

Beat the Summer heat with your own private riverbank 280 ft of riverfrontage to be exact! Entertainment patio and outdoor dining set down by the river! For many, the best part is the spectacular woodland with the completely private trail down to the Soque River, a river famous for trout fishing. Upstream from the Chattahoochee River, the Soque is excellent for tubing, kayaking, and paddle boards with outfitters nearby.

Don’t forget high-speed wireless internet available throughout and accessible, plentiful parking, including a EV charging station.

Fishing package available: Trout fishing in our private Blue Creek Trout pond stocked with Rainbow trout. Fishing Season: Spring March 1-June 15 and Fall October - November. Each package includes Access to the trout pond and blue creek area, catch and keep 10 trout max, no catch and release, and bring your own fishing equipment. Add the package at checkout or by calling the office.
Firepit - Firewood is Available for Delivery. $39.96plus tax for three bundles of firewood and some fire starter (Monday - Friday Only)

A perfect escape filled with comfort, kindness, and everything we needed to truly unwind.

We had such a wonderful stay at We Can Get Away with Blue Creek Cabins! From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded our expectations. The cabin truly had everything you could possibly need, thoughtfully stocked and beautifully maintained, which made it so easy to relax and enjoy our time away. What really stood out was how friendly the staff was. The entire experience felt warm, smooth, and genuinely cared for from start to finish. If you’re looking for a peaceful, comfortable getaway, I can’t recommend this cabin enough. We’re already looking forward to coming back!

Lots of things to do really liked this place, clean quiet and secluded

We all had a great time here, it's a short drive to Hellen for German food, fun and beer. When we were here we played Bocci, Pool, cards and relaxed in the hot tub. The beds were clean and comfortable we felt like we were at home. Great place!

Perfect for family holidays

Our family had a great time. Perfect layout didn't feel over crowded . Big driveway only thing is be careful pulling out there's trees that make it hard to see anything coming from the left side. This cabin was in perfect location for relaxing and not a long drive from helen and other areas.

The house and view is absolutely stunning!!! Check in and check out was easy. Everything was set up as requested. The short drive to Helen was convenient. I highly recommend staying there and will hopefully be able to return soon!!

A Beautiful cabin nestled on a hillside, overlooking the Soque River - The perfect place for a retreat!

I can't wait to stay at River Bend Lodge again! It was a spacious, meticulously kept cabin with sweeping views of the Soque River. The kitchen was fully stocked with any cooking utensils you might need and a large dining table that everyone could sit at. The downstairs area had so much entertainment! There were board games, puzzles, a pool table, a dart board, and a living room with a TV. The hot tub was pristine (I found out they empty and clean it after every guest!) and only a few steps away from the door - under a roof. A short walk from the hot tub is a Bocce court and fire pit, which were perfect for relaxing in the evening. The best part was relaxing by the river! There is a concrete pad on the riverfront, which was perfect for drinking morning coffee or just sitting and enjoying the scenery. I felt like I was in a nature reserve. I highly recommend booking a stay here!

Wonderful and cabin in a quiet area

Well-furnished cabin in a quiet location, just 10 minutes from grocery stores. Yonah Mountain and Helen are less than 25 minutes away. We loved sipping coffee in the morning while watching the sun rise over the forest from the kitchen and dining area. In the evenings, we celebrated our hiking accomplishments in the hot tub or around the pool table. We will definitely be back!

Paradise on the River!

We absolutely loved our stay at River Bend Lodge! The owners have thought of every amenity you could need— from activities like the pool table to the rafts for river lounging, a grill and ample kitchen tools, and of course the lovely hot tub and cozy furniture for downtime— they’ve got it all. Our family had ample space to be together and also explore the property on our own. Can’t wait to come back to this gorgeous house!

Relaxing River Stay

We loved our stay at the River Bend Lodge; I hosted friends for my birthday and it was roomy enough for a group, appreciated showers/bathrooms on each floor! We enjoyed the hot tub, watching sunsets on the back deck and pool table was a bonus. There is a nice walk from the cabin down to the river. Would be a great place in the summer or a cozy retreat in the winter. Not a bad drive from Atlanta, and even visited the nearby German town Helen during our trip; will be back!

We were welcomed with a delicious bottle of wine! Thanks so much for everything. We had a beautiful tri. The house was fully stocked with everything you might need throughout the day.

Valentine’s and Birthday weekend in the mountains.

We had a wonderful stay at this cozy cabin! The view was absolutely beautiful, even with the rain. The kitchen was well-stocked with essentials, making it easy to cook meals. The beds were comfortable, though on the firmer side. One thing to note—some doorways are a bit short, which might be a challenge for taller guests. Overall, a great place to relax and enjoy nature!

Over priced

The cabin was an older cabin. It appeared nice on pictures but cheap used materials when you see it in person. The beds were comfortable and the showers were dated. The price was way more than it should have been for that cabin. We did not have much of a choice in that area and the hotels were booked up. We were working in the area and needed a place to stay. It wasn’t terrible but the price definitely didn’t match the property.

Perfect mix of mountain views and river lounging

River Bend Lodge is a great place to get away with a group! There are so many places to comfortably gather inside and outside. We enjoying the rolling mountain views from the upper deck and spent time in the river. It is a bit of a hike getting back up from the river, but worth it! There are also multiple vineyard and breweries within a very short drive (~20 minutes) if you need to get out and about. Highly recommend.

Wonderful getaway just outside Atlanta

My family and I met friends at this spacious cabin and were so impressed with how secluded it felt even though it was such a short drive from Atlanta. The house is beautifully furnished and has everything you need for a homemade dinner around the farm table or taking a soak in the hot tub. Beautiful nature is available from the cabin whether you want to gaze at the abundant stars from the upper or lower deck or take a quick walk to the river for a picnic at one of the multiple riverside seating areas. I 100% will be coming back!

Relaxation at the River House

The cabin is beautiful- well decorated, full kitchen. We enjoyed dining outside on the porch, watching the sun set. You get the view of the mountains and a view of the river. We loved spending time floating in the river and admiring the rocks, birds and nature that surround the cabin. In the evening, spending time in the basement with the TV for movies, pool table and hot tub was perfect! I appreciated the touches that the cabin provides- toiletries, plenty of towels and comfy beds. I would have been completely fine just staying at the cabin, but it’s nice that there’s breweries and shopping nearby if you want to get out and do something different. The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful. We had a wonderful time and will definitely be going back!

Cozy, beautiful, and convenient

My family went up to the River Bend Lodge for a long weekend. What can I say? It was the perfect getaway! My two children loved exploring the trail down to the river and playing pool in the downstairs game room. My husband and I enjoyed the hot tub, and large cinema room. The kitchen is fully stocked, so cooking and enjoying the views from the porch makes for the perfect night in! The cabin is conveniently located near some great attractions too. It is a quick drive to Helen, GA for some Bavarian eats, Tallulah Gorge for a hike, and Yonah Mountain Vineyard and NoFo Brewing for family friendly libations in a fun setting! The cabin has plenty of space for more than one family to enjoy together, and we will definitely be back when it is warmer to explore the trails we didn’t get to see (closed for cold weather) and to enjoy the river. The house has a fishing pole, and we heard tales that there might even be trout to catch!!!
