I was extremely pleased when we entered cottage. Everything was clean and just like photos. We had an issue that I informed you about by email. A service person quickly arrived within 20 mins. and quickly resolved the issue. Very impressive!
Possible improvements: new mattresses, clean or replace outdoor shower head (trickle spray), brighter bulbs in lamps.
You may want to change description of amenities. Keurig coffee listed we brought pods to find a Mr. Coffee pot.
Overall wonderful experience. Thank you.
The location of this cottage was great for exploring from P-Town to Boston which was the goal of our trip. We didn't spend a lot of time using the amenities, but they looked great, especially the patio table and umbrella. The only issue that we had was lighting. There were no lights installed in the ceilings of the living room or bedrooms which made navigation at night a little difficult until you got to one of the lamps. Other than that we would recommend it.
Overall we all loved our stay at 39 Holiday Lane. The house is adorable with a spacious and beautiful back yard. We have just a couple suggestions...there is a need for more lighting, especially in the living room and near the washer and dryer (which we loved). We did notice teeny tiny ants around the kitchen sink, but also saw ant traps so they have been addressed. We loved the outdoor shower after going to the beach, but we did notice that water drips outside when the indoor shower is in use. We absolutely loved the outdoor patio, and having perfect weather, we ate out there most of the time. The living room furniture is lovely and definitely fits the style and decor , but a more comfortable sectional would be perfect in that room. It was very sad leaving this sweet Cape Cottage this morning. Thank you for the opportunity to share a bit of your little piece of paradise. Sincerely, Jane, Tina and Deb.
Our week at the Cape was excellent due in no small to the great cottage we rented in Dennis Port. The place was clean, well stocked and located exactly where we wanted it to be. The single glitch was that we called before we went asking whether there was a Keurig coffee-maker there and received no response.
Outside: outdoor furniture broken chair, umbrella needed back door did not have screen. cleaning, grill old
Kitchen pretty picture but equipped as needed
Ventilation:
Bathroom no fan unable to open window door wood stick and we would get stuck in bathroom
Bedroom with the bunk beds too large for room glad we didnât need the room
Multiple windows did to open.
Major black ant problem. I was sitting in chair in living room and a black ant crawled down my shirt.
I would not recommend this vrbo until these changes have been met. It is not worth the money.
Stay was good, if your back needs a firm mattress forget it, grill was rusted out inside and control knobs were stripped forced to eat out more, coffee pot in picture shows a keurig coffee maker it was not, outdoor shower was nice and large backyard was nice
Bathroom not clean huge amount of hair in the tub drain and tub not clean. Ants in all rooms. Poor lighting lamp very small in bedrooms and living room. Living room light bew out and no bulb to replace it. Backyard nice
Property as advertised. Clean, recently updated. Very close to the beach - less than 15 minute walk. Plenty of room for two, could have comfortably fit one more adult. Outdoor shower was a plus - great pressure. Two negatives - need more indoor lighting and the bed should be replaced. Overall would definitely stay again.
My husband and I had a wonderful time staying at this house. The photos reflect everything accurately. It was very comfortable. Kitchen was well equipped. The yard outside space was lovely. Close to a variety of nearby beaches. Not far from anything you would like to see on the Cape if you are willing to drive a bit. Just perfect for the two of us. Would love to return one day!
While the pictures and prior commenters noted the cottage was small, they didnât tell the complete story. Perhaps it was timing, end of the summer, but when we opened the door we were hit with a pungent smell of BO not traditional âcape-dampnessâ rather a very nauseating smell. Trying to open the windows didnât works since some were wedged closed with starfish, broken, or otherwise not in working order. The bathroom door didnât shut, there was water damage on the bathroom ceiling, and the fire pit cover was shredded. We contacted the property management company who did their best to accommodate us. Unfortunately, we had to take a financial hit and head home, there was no way we could stay at the house with the smell and lack of working windows. I do want to reiterate the management company was great and did the best they couldâŠbut in the 17 years I have been renting vacation homes this was by far the worst experience.
Great place for a small gathering that wants to be in walking distance of beach plus a couple restaurants/bars. Will need a car to venture out more, but the location was perfect for our trip. The house was on the smaller side but when you get the beach weather you hope for, you don't want to stay inside anyways. Large backyard and a nice small patio complete with grill. For the rainy days, the living room does have a nice television and enough seating for a small family.
We were so happy with our stay. This cozy little cottage was perfect for my husband and I and our college age daughter. Very well taken care of and close to everything!
The cottage was just like in the pictures. The kitchen was clean and the bathroom too. We loved the following things: air conditioning was key for the heat and humidity, the deck and backyard were very nice, Dennis port is close to so many places being mid Cape, we love the restaurants and beaches, and it was very helpful to have a washer and dryer. That being said we did have a few âconsâ but overall enjoyed our stay! Cons: their were some things provided and we knew we needed to provide our own linens and towels. No issues there. However, there was no dish rack which would be great. A line to dry things on like towels. The bedrooms had bugs. Some are expected but our daughter was terrified after finding maybe a dozen spiders and daddy long legs one night. We ended up leaving early because she couldnât sleep after that. My husband thinks the bedroom window above the air conditioner might not be a tight seal. We wish we had known to bring laundry detergent and cleaners as there was Cascade for dishwasher (very helpful) but no laundry stuff nor any spray or paper towels or toilet paper beside one roll there. Itâs fine - we did go to the store abs grab that stuff. Some of which we left behind for others. One last thing was the Xbox 360 was a great surprise with the games but there wasnât a charging cord for the controller and the batteries in it were dead. Overall, it was a good week and we donât regret our stay!
Two weeks of working remotely couldn't have been more wonderful! Cottage was clean, has many amenities, but it is small! We got used to its size quickly and found it charming and cozy.
