Wonderful five bedroom fully furnished home with 2.5 bath and a large deck out the back door. this is the perfect place to bring friends and family from all over the world together again. Weddings are a popular reason for a stay as well as holidays with family, groups gathering for local events, staff/employee housing for local contracts, or just simply returning to Des Moines to revisit your Iowa roots.
Whatever the reason, we have a place for you to relax and enjoy your stay.

This was an ideal place for the family to gather through the holidays. It was close to shops and entertainment. It accommodated family who uses a transport chair, an infant, and everyone in between.

Nice location, plenty of room, everything we needed for our stay

We stayed at Tim's house for two reasons: a small college reunion followed by a family reunion. The bedrooms and bathrooms were sufficient for our needs. The beds were comfortable, plenty of nice, soft towels. The kitchen was supplied with everything we needed. We loved having a large room for visiting. In a nice neighborhood. We did not use the outside deck and did not do any cooking. This was a great house and met our needs. Appreciate Tim's quick response to any questions we had. Would stay there again.

Family Trip to Des Moines

The house was very accommodating and comfortable. We brought two young children (2 and 1 years old) on our trip. Both children felt at home thanks to toys and books already being there. The backyard was very peaceful. Each morning we enjoyed our coffee on the back deck and watch squirrels, rabbits, and chipmunks running around. The location of the house was a plus. It's a good central location if you will be going around the Des Moines area during your stay. Overall, my family very much enjoyed our stay here and we would return to it again.

My 4 buddies and I had all the room in the world to make our vacation great. The house had a few rough edges but overall totally satisfied and would definitely stay there again ! Had everything we needed for sure .

This house has lots of room to spread out and enjoy. Five bedrooms, Large kitchen, Nice deck and yard, Basement rec-room, and Family room. It is located in a nice neighborhood, close to many restaurants and has easy access to major roads.

If you like rundown dirty houses, this one is for you!

This house looks decent from the outside. It is in a good residential neighborhood. The yard has not been maintained with leaves everywhere. The inside was totally different from the outside. I have rented about 15 VRBO homes over the years and this house was by far the filthiest and most poorly cared-for property of the bunch. We were back home in the Des Moines area to see family and I was frankly very embarressed to have my family celebrate Thanksgiving in this house. Several family members asked if this house was lived in by college fraternity members due to its resemblance to those type of run-down and poorly-maintained houses we all remember from college. To be specific, many walls had 10-20 very visible scuff marks with other spots painted in a poor attempt to cover up a few of these. The kitchen was filthy and this is the first house I have rented where I had to clean the kitchen and family room upon arrival just to have family over. We found the inside of the oven coated with old burnt grease and two used dirty greasy frying pans inside that were unwashed. The window by the sink in the kitchen was filthy to the point of poor visibility. I had to clean this as well. The decor of the house consists of items procured from garage sales. Nothing matches and it appears the owner doesn’t care at all about the house or the people renting. There was black mold under the master bedroom sink and a nasty cover with duct tape covering the ceiling attic access. My recommendation is to run, don’t walk, away from this rental house unless you are used to living in a such a crappy property.

This was a comfortable home. Very roomy, and a good value for the money. All commonly used areas were very clean, but it was not super "clean to the corners", and needed a good dusting. We enjoyed the large kitchen island, and big living room.

Excellent place for a large group

My husband and I stayed here with our 4 small children, as well as my parents and 3 of my siblings, while we were in town for a brother's wedding. We really enjoyed this property. The house is big and spacious, and spread out enough that we could easily put babies to bed upstairs while the adults visited downstairs and the more wide-awake teens even stayed up late down the basement watching a movie. We were able to get ready for the wedding easily with 4 bathrooms, and a big kitchen and dining area for easy meals. We felt there were little things here and there that could potentially be cleaned a bit better, but this was in no way something that negatively influenced our stay. We had everything we needed and this was a minor detail. We would love to stay here again if we end up being back in town for a reunion. Tim always replied quickly and was very accomodating of our needs. Check-in and check-out was easy. Beds were all comfortable and clean. All the bedrooms had ceiling fans which was great in a hot spell of June. Washer and dryer and ironing board was a nice plus while getting ready for our brother's wedding. We were very happy overall and like I said, would definitely stay here again if the occasion arises.

Spacious and Relaxing for Business Travel

We regularly travel for business and for extended stays. This property was perfect for a group of guys working together all day and needing some personal space after work. The house is very roomy and comfortable. The location was great for our daily travel. Tim was very accommodating and easy to work with!
