The Sonder is an affordable stay for travelers. The apartment was large, clean and comfortable. I found it to be entirely satisfactory and would recommend it for the comfort of the bed and the size of the space Entering the building requried a a keypad and people could enter after one another without any issue. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. The location was excellent for us. The amenities were awesome, washer/dryer, kitchen with stove, fridge, cookware/utensils, etc. it was clean and we felt safe in the neighborhood. Good dining options around. Near a people mover stop. Comfortable bed and good room darkening shades. We will definitely stay there again when in Detroit. It was a little pricey for us, but worth it.

It is located directly across the street from the public transit center and the downtown stop for the DAX bus from the airport. If you use public transit exclusively (as I do) it is the ideal location to be at. The down side of this is there are lots of 'lingerers' in the immediate area outside the building, but I never felt unsafe. The apartment was perfect; especially if you're staying a week or more. Full kitchen and laundry machines make this a money-saving way to spend an extended period in the heart of the city. It's not fancy, but extremely functional for what it costs to stay there. I will stay there the next time I go to Detroit, and i would highly recommend it as a clean, economical way to be in Detroit center city.

Great location and value for money. Well equipped tidy and comfortable. You need to get the 261 smart bus from the airport into Detroit which takes an hour unfortunately, but the bus stops almost outside.

This is not a typical Marriott property. It was a studio with only one uncomfortable chair. The sheets were stained and thin. The lighting in the elevators was very dim and lights for some floor buttons didn’t work. The treadmill in the gym didn’t work. The coffee maker was great, washer/dryer in room and bed was comfortable. Staff was very nice. Location is great!! If the price is right, it is ok but you may want to keep looking…

I was in town for a wedding over the weekend. But you could comfortably stay 7 to 14 days. It's clean and comfortable, very happy! And in walking distance of a lot entertainment.

The room is spacious and has a very nice view of the city. House keeping needs to properly sweep and mop the floors, they’re hard work they require it. Bring socks or slides/sandals to walk around.

This is the only property that I would stay at in downtown Detroit. It is in walking distance of anything you have for any event. It has amazing five star dining, fast food, shopping, the belt, and so much more all in walking distance. In addition to all of that, it also is only a four minute walk to the people mover (which is free) that will take you anywhere else you want in the city. It’s incredibly safe. The front door security and staff were amazing. This was better than staying at any hotel I have ever stayed at in Detroit. Incredible for families because there are multiple beds and a pullout sofa. Beautiful views. Washer and dryer. Anything you could possibly want! We look forward to coming back!
