⭐ 1 out of 5 stars Sonesta Select Detroit Novi – Extremely Disappointing Stay My stay at this hotel was awful from the beginning. Check-in took an unnecessary amount of time despite there being no real reason for the delay. When I finally got to my room, things only got worse. The entire room — and honestly the hotel overall — was filthy. There was no microwave or fridge, which is unacceptable for a hotel at this price point. The bathroom in the room was so dirty that the public lobby restrooms were actually cleaner. Multiple things didn’t work, including the lamps, lights, and outlets. Behind the nightstands were inches of dust, and the drawers in both the nightstand and dresser were absolutely filthy. The TV was glitchy and only worked about half the time. To put it into perspective, I’ve stayed at cleaner, more comfortable Motel 6s and Red Roof Inns than this place — and that says a lot. Overall, this was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. I would not stay here again and absolutely would not recommend it to anyone.
