Large Whistleresque walk out Garden suite & beautifully landscaped yard

Nestled in the heart of North Vancouver close to downtown and the North Shore Mountains. Ideally located in a quiet cul-de-sac close to major transit routes, with easy access to both summer and winter recreational activities, you will find our Cape Cod styled house a great base to explore or visit friends and family.

Our home offers a renovated, fully furnished, large suite that provides our guests with comfortable, self-contained accommodations. Guests are treated to a private entrance accessed from the back of the property through a south facing, beautifully landscaped and fully fenced back yard which is also shared with the Owners who live above on the main floor. Parking is available in front of the house.

This 'Whistleresque' suite is finished to exacting standards to ensure a comfortable stay with all amenities. Sunny and spacious with over 750 sq.ft, of comfortable open-plan living space, hardwood and slate tile floors and a king-size super-comfortable bed guests remark about. There is also a new small HDTV in the bedroom.

The large kitchen features custom cabinets and new stainless steel appliances throughout including dishwasher and microwave, is very well equipped and opens into a large eating space which flows into a large airy living room with a new flat screen HDTV & DVD player.

High speed internet access via WIFI, on demand hot water and separate controls to both base board and forced air heating ensures you can relax and enjoy your home away from home.

North Vancouver gem

What a great find. Located in a beautiful neighborhood, with a lovely garden setting, this basement suite was so well appointed. A comfortable lounge area, with a comfy sofa, club chair and tv. The kitchen had everything you could need and a nice big table for 4. But the best part of all was the king size bed ( hard to find) witch was as comfortable as any I have ever slept in. Gives Marriotts " heavenly bed" a run for the money. A nice updated bath finished this suite off perfectly. Just down the road there is a shopping center with a market, and restaurant, drug store etc. which was so convenient. The owner was responsive and thoughtful. I would highly recommend this for your visit to North Vancouver, with easy access to the area with Hwy 1 just down the road.

We chose this VRBO because it was close to Lonsdale Quay - only 7 minute drive. We were lucky to have a car although we did walk it one day. Only 15 minutes walk to a cute village called Edgemont where we when several times for lunch, coffee and groceries. Jeff and Sarah were wonderful hosts.

A very spacious basement apartment in a very nice area of North Vancouver. There is a very comfortable bed in a large bedroom and an excellent living / dining / kitchen open plan area with everything provided that you could possibly need. Perfect in every way

Hosts are delightful , property is beautiful, suite is beyond well stocked (best we’ve ever seen) & VERY clean. Very occasionally we heard Sydney (house pet) walking upstairs BUT we enjoyed that & Sydney is very sweet and friendly. We careful checked the reviews before booking. With one weird exception, they were uniformly excellent & almost too good to be true, but they were! Thank you S & J & Sydney too! H & J

Wonderful stay!

Sarra's place was wonderful! Such a great location and homey feel. Sarra went above and beyond making us feel at home and giving us ideas of things to do and answered all our questions about our trip. The house was stocked with anything you could need. Totally recommend!

Clean basement suite but NOT A WHOLE HOME RENTAL!

First, the positives: the suite is clean and well-appointed. Within, you will find all you need to relax during your stay: books, jigsaw puzzles, TV service, and a very comfortable king sized bed. The kitchen has all you need to cook and eat meals during your stay. That being said: THIS IS NOT A WHOLE HOME RENTAL. This is a multi-level home with a finished basement where the host family lives ONSITE, upstairs. The laundry room AND BACKYARD are shared spaces. The listing states "Private backyard with hot tub", which IS NOT THE CASE. The hot tub is in the host family's backyard, in full view of all of their yard-facing windows, just below their fully open deck. From within the basement 'suite', you can hear every move the host family makes upstairs...and they have a young child and an active dog. If you are a late sleeper or would even like to enjoy just 1 late morning, this is not the suite for you! You will be awake as soon as anyone is moving around upstairs--and they get up early to get their little one off to school. The host family is very nice but you will SEE and HEAR them every day of your stay. As long as a renter is aware that they are sharing the home with a host family, contrary to all of VRBO's advertising, and is okay with this arrangement, the space itself inside is great. For me, a young adult visiting a friend in the area, it gave off major vibes of living in my parents' basement and all the 'privacy' of that situation.

Quiet North Vancouver Get away

I had a fantastic stay at this VRBO! The atmosphere was peaceful and quiet, allowing for a relaxing experience. The kitchen was incredibly well-equipped with every utensil imaginable, making meal preparation a breeze. Street parking was convenient, and having a Safeway down the street was handy for any last-minute needs. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my time here and would recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and convenient getaway. The downside here was the cell reception of my phone was really bad (Bell). But that wasn't anything to do with the host.

Great home base

This was a great location for all sorts of adventures in Vancouver. We especially enjoyed the well-stocked kitchen, near shopping center and bus lines close to the house. The lower level was well lit and we loved all the flowers in the windows.

Terrific hide-away in North Vancouver

The reviews are all accurate. This suite was delightful – immaculately clean, well-stocked and quiet. The location in North Vancouver was perfect for our plans to visit Whistler, Grouse Mountain, and to take the ferry over to one of the islands, and yet also provided easy access to the city. The home is located in a peaceful suburb which felt quite safe. There is a Safeway and restaurants within a few blocks. The yard was quite pleasant and our hosts friendly and accommodating. We would definitely go back.

Our home away from home!!

My wife, my sister and myself stayed at this property for 10 days and we loved it. It was a one bedroom basement suite, very clean and very spacious. After a tiring day outside, it feels good to go back to a place that feels like home. My wife loved the kitchen as it was well stocked. Bathroom was clean and also well stocked with fresh towels and toiletries. Sarra and Jeff were great hosts and would always respond to our questions straightaway. We appreciate their recommendations for places to see particularly the Lighthouse Park in the District of West Vancouver. The property was close to a strip mall. We found an amazingly authentic Chinese and Japanese restaurants. It was located in a quiet cul de sac and a nice neighborhood that even our Uber driver said that there's no dilapidated property on this part of Vancouver. We would like to go back and stay at this property again if we have the chance to visit Vancouver again and will definitely recommend this to family and friends.

Beautiful area and hosts are great.

This is a home away from home. Listing is as advertised. Hosts are very easy to talk to and very helpful. Sydney (the dog) is a sweetheart that loves to play ball, then come lay down in the grass beside you as you read in the backyard chairs. Highly recommend this place and we will return here if we come back to Vancouver. 5 ⭐!!
