Martie Cottage is a delightful thatched cottage, located in the peaceful Dorset village of West Stafford, just 2 miles out of Dorchester. The village is well known for its picturesque setting, with countryside walks in abundance. There is also a very highly recommended local pub just a few steps from the cottage front door!

Once inside, Martie Cottage is cosy and welcoming with an open plan cottage kitchen and dining room complete with AGA stove and large patio doors opening out to the sunny rear garden. There is a dining table for four people, SMEG fridge / freezer and ceramic sink along with everything else you'll need to enjoy cooking on holiday. Through to the living room, which benefits from many of the original features, including exposed ceiling beams, the original bread oven and a wood burning stove for the cooler months.

Accommodating five people, in three bedrooms all on the first floor, Martie Cottage is an ideal base for a family or for two couples. Overlooking the garden is the master bedroom, with stylish decor and King size bed. Also on this side of the cottage is the second bedroom, with built in wardrobe and double bed. Just across the hallway is the single bedroom, and family bathroom.

There is also a useful utility room on the ground floor, with washing machine and tumble dryer. The garden is lawned and enclosed; ideal for pets and children, with a seating area and easy gated access from the private parking space. Pets welcome!

Drive into West Stafford, until you reach Barton Close, turn left here past the 'Old reading room' on your left. Keep straight and drive past the brick bungalows taking it slowly down the gravel track. The parking for Martie Cottage is on your right hand side.
