Penthouse Apartment on Lake Como with Gorgeous Lake & Mountain Views

Fantastic lake view living!

Enjoying an elevated hillside location along the tranquil eastern shore of Lake Como, close to the famous resort towns of Bellano and Varenna and a short ferry ride from the famous towns of Bellagio and Mennagio, this beautiful recently built penthouse apartment is ideal for up to 4 people.

The property boasts fabulous beamed ceilings throughout creating a gorgeous, romantic ski-chalet style ambience, open-plan living with stylish modern kitchen fitted with burgundy and cream units, gas hob oven, coffee machine, toaster, microwave fridge freezer and dishwasher.

The open-plan living and dining room provides the ideal place to relax and entertain guests with comfortable stylish leather sofas, a flat-screen tv, dvd player, and music stereo.

The property is centrally heated throughout and there is also a cosy wood burning stove in the lounge. Hot water is provided on demand from the combi boiler.

There is free unlimited ADSL wifi as well as satellite TV with UK "freeview" channels and various Italian and German channels. A chromecast dongle allows you to stream programs and films from your mobile phone to the TV.

A contemporary dining area is provided and alfresco dining can be enjoyed by guests on the large, sunny private balcony with breathtaking views over the beautiful lake and surrounding mountains.

The sleeping accommodation is also very stylish and extremely versatile with a spacious master double bedroom furnished with solid wood pieces and providing a romantic place to unwind with private balcony overlooking the mountainside and a second bedroom furnished with a single bed that converts to a pull-out double bed, and a sofa bed option in the lounge.

A newly fitted modern bathroom provides a power shower, washbasin, wc, washing machine and Juliette style balcony.

The small hillside modern residence is extremely sunny and boasts panoramic lake views. There is also a garage and public parking.

This apartment may not be suitable for the elderly or families with young children as it is a top floor penthouse apartment with no lift and two external balconies.

Amazing view - nice stay

We had a nice stay in Sue and Martin apartment. The view is unforgetable. Parking the car is not so easy as explained by our hosts and the neighbours have some tips to help you. It is easy to drive to Varenna to take the traghetto with your car and visit the opposite shore of the lake.

very clean and well equipped appartment, with astonishing view on the lake

We stayed only for four days in Sue's appartment, and we were sad when we had to leave... The large terrace and tha magic view on the lake made the TV obsolete for the duration of our stay. Very quiet and relaxing place, and the lake's surrounding are so charming! There is a small beach just below the appartment, and another one below the small railstation of Dorio, free parking at the railstation. All the east coast of the lake is preserved from excessive touristic affluence and we recommend it, all the small towns are so cute (Varenna is a must for us). Of course, don't miss the Villa Carlotta and its botanic garden on the west coast (only 45 min. by car). Thanks Sue and Martin for contributing to make our holidays great !

Schöne Wohnung, schöne Aussicht, sehr sauber, KĂŒche perfekt eingerichtet, leider konnte man im Masterbedroom(Bett 140x188 aber Matratze 135x175) nur alleine Schlafen, denn es ist gerade mal ein Teenybed, FĂŒsse lagen in der Luft - schade, kann man fĂŒr Leute ab 167cm nicht empfehlen. Das andere Bett im 2. Zimmer Matratze schlecht. Erfreulicherweise haben wir noch BettwĂ€sche gefunden. Also gut schlafen war einfach nicht - und das im Urlaub, nĂ€chtes mal wieder Hotel

Sehr gemĂŒtliche Wohnung im ruhigen weniger touristischen Örtchen Dorio. Wir haben den Aufenthalt genossen. Die Wohnung ist sehr gut ausgestattet (Backofen, GeschirrspĂŒler, de longhi Kaffeemaschine, Waschmaschine), sauber und der Kontakt mit der Vermieterin fĂŒr den Check-in lief ohne Probleme. Jedoch, ca. 50 - 60 Stufen musst du gehen, um die wirklich wunderbare Aussicht zu sehen.

A lovely spot with gorgeous views of Lake Como. In hindsight, I am surprised that some stayed here without a car, as transportation around the lake can be a bit of a challenge. But we found it ideal with our little compact that fit just fine in the cozy garage and easy enough to pop in and out to journey off to the local towns and beyond in our week-long exploration of the area. You certainly are not staying in one of the busy, popular locations when you rent this apartment. But if you like things a bit removed and a bit more peaceful, this is your place.

Outstanding!

This apartment is a great find! stunning views and large and well equipped. The pictures in the website do not do it justice! We loved just sitting on the terrace, having supper and looking out onto the lake. The host was exceptional in her communication and we found the apartment easily. We had hired a car for our stay, but you could easily stay here without a car. The bus stop is at the bottom of the road - 10 mins walk up/down the hill. The bus would take you all around the lake.Thanks Sue for a great few days.

Quiet stay with stunning views

We spent a lovely few days in this spacious, super clean apartment in a quiet part of Lake Como. The apartment is well constructed and modern with many thoughtful touches. Quick, friendly and helpful communication with the owner Sue.Gorgeous views across the north part of the lake and quick access to the main north-south road.
