A pleasantly surprising stay in the Saumur/ Doué-la-Fontaine area of the Loire. This property while modern is a gem, we benefited from a comfortable clean and pleasant family room, with a window opening up onto their rear garden area. Woke up to birdsong and quiet , and a great breakfast in their large conservatory. Service excellent and helpful. Only point of note is if you wish to dine in their partner (next door) restaurant , best to reserve in advance , as it was fully booked (despite being almost empty!) at 630pm. But- more choice available in nearby Doué-la-Fontaine about 10 mins drive . Would thoroughly recommend this family run hotel as a stop-off on the long drive south from Calais, or for short excursions into the Saumur area.

Pleasantly surprised

We were pleasantly surprised by this hotel, the rooms were clean and comfortable with a good sized bathroom. Staff were friendly and helpful. We stayed on a Sunday so the bar closed at nine but the lady on duty made sure that we were ok for drinks before she left. Good WiFi in the room, and we enjoyed a generous breakfast in the large conservatory dining room. We will definitely use this hotel again.

Room was clean, however the bathroom was not great. Tthere was a large clump of hair in the shower drain and a shower chair for the elderly that wouldn't close out of the way. I took the quickest shower of my life to get out of there.
