Relax and enjoy yourself down by the Kalamazoo River. You and your family and friend will enjoy relaxing in this three bedroom, two full bath home with 200ft of river front. A secluded and private outdoor living area including an outdoor fire pit that is perfect for entertaining or just relaxing. You can watch the Canadian geese or swans play on the river from the deck and enjoy beautiful sunrises .
This wonderfully maintained one level home has three bedrooms, boasting new pillow top mattresses. There is also a comfy Living Room with a working wood burning historic fireplace, and HDTV. Cable televisions, wireless internet, and DVD players are included. Windows in the great room let in loads of natural light and panoramic view of the river.
When it’s time to re-energize, the fully equipped kitchen has everything you need to prepare a hearty meal. Kitchen boost stainless steel appliances, eat in kitchen with separate dining area. Large open floor plan with all new flooring. Cook out on the backyard’s gas grill and eat on the sunny back deck.
Property a joins Wade’s Bayou Park where you can put in a kayak or rent one. Boat lunch nearby.
Just a short walk up the hill, is downtown Douglas. Where you can enjoy several restaurants, coffee shop. And quaint novelty shopping.

House on the river

The location was ideal and convenient, and the water views with the ducks, geese, swans etc was so enjoyable. Paul was very available and quickly fixed one minor repair we needed done.

Douglas River Home

We had a great stay! Home was very clean and the floor plan accommodated our group of 10 easily. Couldn’t ask for a better location; secluded with great views, ample parking and an easy walk to Douglas. We will be back!

Our stay

Place was nice and big. Paul was great! Loved the location and being able to walk to Douglas. Biggest complaint were the two sofa beds. The mattress on both were terrible! Very thin. One friend had to sleep on the couch the other had to pad the mattress with many comforters and blankets. Nice couches but should’ve upgraded to better mattresses!

Fantastic location right next to fishing dock and kayaks, excellent host and loads of fun!

This was a terrific house for the 8 of us (two families). Douglas is such as quaint and relaxed town. Saugatuck is just a 5 minute drive if you want more action in a tourist type town. This house is located right next to the bayou with great views. You can walk in one minute to a new fishing dock; we caught sunfish, bass and perch. Right next to the dock is Running Rivers kayak and paddleboards for rent. The Supervalu grocery store is a short walk or a very quick drive for food and drinks. Lots of lawn space for fun games. Small firepit with chairs for sitting around and roasting marshmallows. Large deck with grill with two large tables and chairs. The host Paul was there to provide guidance to the area. He's a really nice guy! Overall we had a fantastic long week at Paul's house. Thank you Paul!!

Clean and spacious! Great property!

We had a wonderful weekend. A total of 10 women stayed here and there was plenty of room. A very comfortable and clean home. We will definitely be back!
