We booked 6 rooms for a wedding I spoke in the phone to say we were attending a wedding and could at least 1 room be ready to enable us to get changed, they said they would try their best When we arrived I asked if a room was ready so we could get changed n get the children changed, we were setting off 30 minutes later We were asked if we had reserved it for £20, we hadn’t so was told the room probably isn’t ready as other guest check out at 11, it was 12.15 The member of staff rang the owner to ask if we were allowed in a room n he said yes for £20 We paid the £20 for the 30 minutes and the room was suddenly ready After booking 6 rooms I thought this was very mean spirited

Our three night stay

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful we had to go up a flight of stairs with suitcases and bags my husband is disabled and im in my 70 s we managed, with some effort . The room was a standard room however only 2 coffees and 2 teabags were left each day so i bought a jar of coffee and teabags for our room . Our sink wasnt cleaned on one of the days it still had the teastains where we had enptied our cups. Only 1 bathtowel and a hand towel were left the same for the duration of our stay . My husband wasnt very pleased with his meat pie as he felt it was floating in gravy and the dish it was served in made it hard for him to eat however i had the house salad and i was very pleased with it

We stayed here just for one night as we’d been to a wedding locally. The hotel staff were great, friendly, and accommodating to us arriving late. The hotel room is described as a basic room, and that is what it is. The room was ok for what we needed, but I wouldn’t choose to stay here if we were intending to spend any amount of time there. The room we had was very dated and could do with updating. However, the staff the next morning were lovely.

Happy 1 day stay

Fairly priced, clean room and decent size for a family of 4. Food wise, Pork Trio was delicious, breakfast basic but acceptable.
