Everything was a mess. The hotel lobby smelled like strong perfume/cologne, AND cigarette smoke, the room stunk to high heavens after being sprayed with air freshener. I am a severe migraine sufferer and had to leave the room immediately and take medication. They found us another room after 2 hours, but the smell there wasn't great either. The plug to power up your phone didn't work, the bathroom flooded every time you turned on the shower, the hairdryer kept cutting out after 15 seconds, and on it went. The staff tried their best to apologize profusely, and were lovely, but honestly we were so tired of everything going wrong, that will never stay there again!

To consider it’s a 5* hotel and to have to ask for amenities and an iron? I don’t think so. Messaged the team on here to ensure my title was correct, upon check in? Incorrect. Wouldn’t say there’s anytning special about this hotel. Rooms are fairly small.

Rooms were clean, starting to show their age a bit. Not enough elevators for the size of the hotel, waited 20 minutes several times as every time one came it was full. Staff is very nice and we had an overall great time

What can I say? The 6th time we have stayed here tells you all you need to know about his hotel. The food, the pool, the rooms, the gyms, sauna and steam room. All perfect especially for children too. Very good area with easy transport links via the tram and metro. The ultimate reason for returning is the staff, special mention for Irene, Araf the lifeguard and Elizabeth in reception. All other staff are friendly, kind and approachable. A testament to Movenpick and the reason we are keep returning.
