The front desk staff was exceptional. Arthur greeted me with a smile and calm demeanor every day I was there. He even knew my name by day 2. I also love how they will call a taxi for you so you don't have to use Uber. My first day I took a walk into the town of Clontarf down by Dublin Harbour. Lots of small shops and pubs within a 10 minute radius. Very walkable area. There's so much history within the hotel and I loved the tiny fitness center tucked away on the bottom level. The Knights Bar had great food. My favorite was the apple tart with vanilla ice cream. An extremely satisfying stay.

We loved the ambience and history of the building. The architecture and the design inside was spectacular. We also found it far from downtown and the airport but also understand that it is old and meant to protect the city many centuries ago.

Fortunately, our stay was quite short, just an overnight. But it was a beautiful hotel/castle and a nice area of Dublin a little removed from the craziness of city center. Would recommend.

I was not charged upon entry to the hotel but believe that this was an Expedia issue as I believed had previously paid and then when leaving I was quoted a price paid what I was quoted and I sat waiting for my uber the hotel staff came to me and told me he made another mistake and made me pay an additional amount which was greatly higher then what Expedia charged me to begin with in January. I feel like I was taken advantage of by both Expedia and the staff at Clontarf.

I loved this stay so much. The manager in the the knights bar was incredible. She worked so well with staff and customers. The food and drinks were 10/10! The rooms were clean, service was excellent from check in to check out.
