I loved the guys who met us at the train station and transported us and our luggage to and from the lodge. Front desk staff was very helpful. Everyone was super friendly. The grounds are beautiful. I would love to stay there again.

This lodge was impressive in so many ways. The construction and history along with the beautiful grounds and open green space was awesome to say the least. It does not have elevators or television and I felt like it took me back in time.

This is an iconic lodge with great proximity to the east side of Glacier. Beautiful setting. Rooms are small and outdated…and bed is way too soft, but fine for an overnight stay. Box fan in room but not an extension cord. Food was excellent and friendly staff

Loved this hotel, the rooms are small and feel almost like they are original from when the property was built, but that just adds to the charm. The lobby is a great hangout spot to sit by the fire, piano or window to watch the sun set. Theres no elevator and stairs to all three levels so just something to be mindful of if that’s a concern to you. Make sure you visit the restaurant at least once during your stay as the staff are lovely & the food was great.

We loved our stay here even if we were evacuated after the first night due to the storm and flooding which closed the whole of Many Glacier Valley. Staff were so friendly and dealt with the emergency so professionally. We were refunded the same day for the room we didn’t get to stay. Will definitely come back and see the Valley when the trails are open and the views can be seen.

The lobby is the highlight of this hotel. With huge pine trunks that support the entire lobby roof that is three stories tall. We also had a very good dinner in the dining room and they have a handy coffee bar in the morning for breakfast sandwiches, donuts, pastries, and coffee. The views from the balcony of the mountains in Glacier national Park is grand.

What a beautiful, historic lodge close to Glacier NP. The main hall was gorgeous. Be sure to check out all of the displays for some cool history. There is no elevator, so be prepared for stairs. Additionally, there is no AC, but a fan was provided. For food, the lounge had a much shorter wait time than the main dining hall. The lounge has the same drinks and food (overall some pretty tasty food and drinks), so it’s worth a look if you’re eating at the lodge.

This is an amazing historic property, with incredible accommodations for the price. The restaurant was terrific, and the property is very well maintained. We unfortunately had to cancel the final night of our 2-night stay due to a water utility failure affecting the lodge and the surrounding community of East Glacier Park. While this was not the fault of the hotel, they could’ve done better communicating the status of the utility failure and steps being taken to mitigate impacts to guests in terms of alternate toileting and availability of drinking water (beyond a single 5-gallon dispenser in the lobby area). The manager of the lodge was very accommodating regarding our cancellation of our final night, and the fee normally associated with this action was thankfully waived. All in all, we would definitely stay here again.

The staff are very friendly and helpful. However, the bathrooms desperately need upgraded and offer no counter space. The mattresses are very uncomfortable. The dining room was very nice but very overpriced for the food received. It is also difficult to have no mini fridge or microwave if you don’t plan ahead or want to pay the high food prices as the lodge.

Beautiful historic building and gardens. Our double room was rather basic with a portable fan instead of air con, and no coffee making facilities. We were disappointed that rooms appear to have been allocated on a first come, first served basis so when we arrived at 9 pm there were only 3 rooms to choose from. This is despite booking almost 9 months in advance. Breakfast buffet was good but not cheap at $26 a head; evening meal was good but some options were very pricey and there was a wait to get into both restaurants- we were given a buzzer to call us when a table was ready. There is a small shop for snacks and coffee and two gift shops.

I understand that it’s a historical hotel and hence the wall might be thin, but our room was one door away from another room’s bathroom! The door didn’t block any sound so we could clearly hear neighbors doing their business which was extremely unpleasant. We also could hear their talking which means there was no privacy for anyone. And their light comes through door into our room when we tried to sleep. Will not stay at this hotel again.
