Urban Retreat is a beautifully renovated luxury cottage in the exclusive Great Waters community of Reynolds Lake Oconee. Tucked away in a quiet cul-de-sac, this lakeside getaway offers panoramic views of Lake Oconee from every room and combines modern comforts with timeless Southern charm. Guests are just a short walk to the Great Waters Marina, pool, tennis courts, and sandy beach area.

Inside, the main level features an open floor plan with a spacious kitchen, granite countertops, farmhouse sink, and fully stocked cookware, including two slow cookers. A Cuisinart coffee maker and grinder provide fresh coffee every morning. The dining table seats six with two additional counter-height stools. A hidden wet bar is perfect for preparing cocktails before enjoying a sunset cruise or relaxing outside. The living area offers a plush sofa, oversized armchair, fireplace, and wall-mounted TV, while a separate reading nook with two armchairs and ottomans provides another spot to unwind with lake views and a TV. Step outside to enjoy Adirondack chairs, a backyard swing, a game of croquet, or lakeside grilling on the Big Green Egg. A powder room and laundry room with a utility sink and full-sized washer and dryer complete the main level.

Upstairs, each of the three bedrooms has a private bath with a step-in travertine shower. The master suite features a king bed, flat-screen TV, walk-in closet, double vanity, jetted garden tub, and stunning lake views. The first guest room offers two queen beds, a TV, double vanity, and step-in shower, while the second guest room includes a queen bed, TV, and private full bath.

Lake Oconee is Georgia’s second-largest lake, with over 19,000 acres of boating, fishing, and kayaking just steps from the back door. Beyond the community, you are minutes from Harmony Crossing’s cafes, restaurants, and boutiques, with more dining and shopping options, plus Publix, just across the Highway 11 bridge.

The entire experience once booked was extremely positive. The house is well maintained with lots of character, open concept, and in a great location. The owner has provided plenty of information to ensure that you don't need to hunt around and all tastefully done. There were multiple check-ins before, once your stay has started, and after the stay ends. Highly recommend giving this property a stay.

Fantastic experience

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this stunning lakehouse on Lake Oconee, and it was an absolutely wonderful experience. From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the breathtaking views of the lake and the serene surroundings. The house itself is beautifully decorated and immaculately clean. The spacious living areas are perfect for both relaxation and entertaining, with plenty of comfortable seating and large windows that let in natural light. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to prepare meals, and we loved enjoying our morning coffee on the dock short walk from the house. David, our host was incredibly responsive and helpful, providing clear instructions and making sure we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Overall, this lakehouse on Lake Oconee is a perfect getaway for anyone looking to relax, unwind, and enjoy the beauty of nature. We can't wait to return and create more wonderful memories here!

Warm welcome

Loved the easy entry into the house. Warm welcome with American flag on front porch. We were greeted with a welcome chorus from the cicadas (our first time hearing them!) REALLY appreciated all the light switches being labeled!! Lotion to soothe my sunburn . Enjoyed the beautiful wooden swing in backyard. The view is beautiful and the neighborhood is peaceful and calm. Communication with the owner was great! We enjoyed meals at The Rock Eagle 4-H center for their Sunday buffet and Silver Moon. The guys enjoyed at 4 hour fishing trip on the lake with Mark Smith at Reel Time Guide Services.

The Urban Retreat is a great house at Great Waters. Always great to walk to a morning tee time across the 9th fairway. House has everything you need and perfect location. Very responsive to our “how to use one TV issue”. Overall a great property and great people to work with.

Idyllic haven

Beautiful, serene location! The subdivision is gorgeous and the cottage is spacious with all we needed, including big green egg grill. Communication with David was top notch as he was always quick to respond and very helpful. Highly recommend this lovely home with picturesque views of and easy access to the lake. 10/10!
