East of Edenton! Romantic sunset waterfront getaway on the Albemarle Sound!
Treehouse charm with 180 degree water view. Southwest exposure provides year 'round sunsets from our expansive deck while enjoying a nice dinner by the glowing light of the fire table. Roast marshmallows from your Adirondacks over the backyard firepit as you listen to the sound of the Albemarle lapping at the bulkhead. Kayaks, bicycles, fishing rods, table tennis and corn hole for two! Even a set of golf clubs should you care to do a round at the nearby Links at Mulberry Hill. Just minutes east of Historic Edenton, North Carolina.
When using gas grill on deck, please clean grill and re-coverâŠmaking sure all burners are off and the gas tank valve is turned to âoffâ position.
When using fire pit/stove please make sure all embers are extinguished and stove is cooled to allow cover to be replaced and secured win bungees.
We had such a relaxing time and were really able to unwind. The view is from the living room is absolutely beautiful. We also enjoyed the turntable and album collection! We were well taken care of and are so grateful we got to stay there!
House was beautifully located on the water .. it was a last minute booking and the check in process was very easy. The panoramic views from the deck were stunning. The sunsets amazing. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed! We left renewed and relaxed Great getaway!
Sweet little bay cottage with great view. Double bed keeps it cozy. Well appointed and clean. Edenton is a wonderfully historic and quaint town. Would stay again .
This was a cozy house with a spectacular view! It has a very warm inviting atmosphere and it was very peaceful. A wonderful place to relax and recharge.
My son and I stayed here Memorial Day weekend for a quick get away from Virginia Beach, VA. The moment we walked thru the door we started to see squirrels and birds on the front deck, which we loved. We enjoy them in our backyard at home. We went bike riding around the neighborhood and even kayaking. If you can you got to take the kayaks out, I brought my own and explored a little to my left of the dock, but the big surprise was to the right of the dock, past the waterfront homes. There are cypress trees with moss hanging down. The neighbors were very friendly. Check out my pictures.
The views of the Albemarle Sound were even better than I believed possible! The view through the glass doors from the living room (and over the back deck) was truly breathtaking. We loved sitting on the wonderful sofa looking out on the water, watching tv, napping, and generally relaxing. We also loved the beautiful tree (maple?) surrounded by the deck, as well as the pier & dock. We loved the birds (martins?) swooping over the back yard and the fabulous sunsets over the water. The house was the perfect size for us and very comfortable. It was a delightful experience and many thanks to our hosts!
My husband and I wanted a nice getaway for the long Valentine's Day/President's Day weekend, and have been wanting to check this place out. Eric and Julianne are the perfect hosts. All communication with them was quick and very helpful with understanding the area in the off-season. The home is very warm and welcoming with amazing sunsets. We loved the large windows letting in lots of natural light and allowing for full views of the water. It's a nice quiet neighborhood but a short distance to the historic downtown Edenton area to take in the local sights and food experiences. Love their collection of old school vinyl, CDs and DVDs. And we enjoyed the cribbage board, too. We liked the solitude of the area where we could simply decompress and reconnect with each other. We would love to return in the warmer months so we can enjoy the deck and water activities. Book your next stay here. You will not be disappointed! Thanks a million Eric and Julianne!
Wonderful stay on the sound. Gorgeous sunset views from the back deck. 10 minute drive to Downtown Edenton. Owners provided all essentials needed for a comfortable stay
Albemarle Sound and Edenton, what a pleasant surprise!
My wife and had heard bout Edenton from friends that were impressed with the area. After visiting we are also! We experienced a wonderful 5 course meal hosted by the Inner Banks Inn on the Albemarle Queen paddle boat for our Thanksgiving dinner. My wife and I both loved the shopping and amenities. Edenton Coffee House was excellent! Our stay at the East of Edenton was also just what we needed. Quiet, relaxing and Beautiful! Very cozy couch to enjoy the Albemarle Sound views, and evenings. If your a music lover there were lots of good music to choose from (Including some vinyl!) We would love to revisit in the warm months to experience even more that this area has to offer.
Such a cute, cozy place. Was lucky to catch a beautiful sunset one night, and the dock was perfect to sit and relax and stare off into the water. Loved our stay and would stay again!!
I planned a little surprise weekend getaway for my wife and I to celebrate our Anniversary. THe place was absolutley Beautiful and could not have asked for anything better. It was just what we both needed, a little weekend getaway to relax, unplug and unwind. We will definatly be back and I Highly recomend this place
Perfect for a couple's getaway! Extremely well equipped and supplied. Stunning views. Also, Edenton is a great place to visit for a few days and several really good restaurants.
We loved our stay here. The furnishings were deluxe. Loved the leather couch to lounge on and take in the view. The kitchen and bath were well-stocked with just about everything you could think of.
Communication with the owners was outstanding. They are very responsive.
We definitely recommend East of Edenton for a relaxing and peaceful stay.
