Perfect location, great stay

I would highly recommend this hotel! It’s central to everything you’d like to see so it’s a great hub to come back to. We had a wonderful breakfast, the room was comfortable and nice, and the pool was wonderful. Only thing - they are quite strict with their 2:30 check in so don’t anticipate getting in early. Not a complaint, just a mention.

The location is excellent—within walking distance to the Royal Mile and with easy access to restaurants and shops. However, there’s no designated area for private vehicles to stop and drop off luggage in front of the hotel (only for taxis). This wouldn’t be a problem if you’re arriving by taxi, bus, or train, but it’s inconvenient if you’re traveling with a rental car. Additionally, we had to carry our luggage up several flights of stairs before reaching the elevator, and there was no staff available to assist us—which I found quite disappointing.

Great location with amazing staff. We had a room with a balcony and view of the castle which was great and also challenging. With the balcony we could cool off the room along with the fan we got from the front desk. The hotel does not have air conditioning and it was quite muggy. While the location is great with needing the balcony door open it was incredibly noisy.

This is an old property with poor ventilation. There is no temperature regulation in room and door only opens 2 inches. It was very hot and stuffy all night. Streets are very active until 2 am so could not sleep
