You get what you pay for at Britannia. The room was a bit smelly, and no electric outlets next to the bed, but the price (in comparison with other Edinburgh hotels) were low.

Clean room & bathroom. Small area for buffet breakfast (cooked & continental which we didnt avail of. It was only serving 7.30am to 9.30am and checkout at 10am. We were there for a concert at Murrayfield and it was okay for the one night needed. I paid £230 for a very basic double room. A bit overpriced for a dated hotel. But it served its purpose. Staff friendly enough and clean

The room was clean enough but couple of short, curly hairs in the sink and round the bath. Furniture was very old and thrown together. Quite noisy as the doors are very heavy so cause lots of load banging in the night/early morning
