Prepare to be charmed at The Lauderdale Street Residence. Located in beautiful, leafy Marchmont, guests are treated to plenty of space in this truly delightful ground floor apartment. Sleeping up to four guests in style, this light and airy property is the perfect pied-à-terre for your next visit to Edinburgh. The Lauderdale Street Residence delights the senses with bright and intriguing décor laced throughout, whilst retaining a touch of the traditional in features such as stained glass windows, fireplaces, ceiling cornicing, and stripped wooden floors.

Sit back and relax after a long day’s sightseeing in the large, light living room. Comfy chairs, artwork and a handpicked furnishings set the tone in this peaceful room. A Victorian bay window fills the room with sunshine, and allows guests to people-watch through the front terrace. Your electronic entertainment needs are met, too, with flat screen TV and DVD player, WiFi and CD player.

Cook up a storm in the modern kitchen, which is very generously sized for an Edinburgh property. All the usual mod cons are ready and waiting to help you on your culinary endeavours, as well as a few luxury extras such as Kenwood mixer, a bread maker and a juicer. Up to four guests can dine at the dining table, whether it’s a quick croissant and coffee before another day in the city, or a more leisurely affair with a glass of wine.

Moving in to the master bedroom, you’re spoilt with a king-size bed and oodles of space. The second bedroom has a queen-size bed, and both bedrooms benefit from plentiful guest storage. A family bathroom completes this enchanting home from home.

Please note we do not provide hypoallergenic bedding at our properties.

The Lauderdale Street Residence is located in Marchmont, a laid back and friendly area just a ten minute walk from the Old Town. Just around the corner from the apartment on Marchmont Road are plenty of independent cafes and shops as well as a good sized Sainsbury's local for grocery shopping. The Meadows, one of Edinburgh's most loved parks, is a few minutes stroll away and perfect for a picnic or morning jog. If you're staying during the Festival and Fringe, then George Square, Underbelly and the Pleasance are all within a 20 minute walk.

This property doesn't come with free parking but there is limited paid street parking in local area for an additional fee.

Entry to the apartment is from 16:00 onwards; however, please note that arrivals after 19:00 may incur a late arrival fee of ÂŁ30 for unsociable hours, arrivals after 10 pm will incur a fee of ÂŁ50 and arrivals after midnight, a fee of ÂŁ60. It is always worth contacting the property manager as they will always endeavour to give you access as soon as possible.

A ÂŁ200 refundable damage/security deposit is due 7 days before arrival, and refunded after departure.

All properties are strictly non-smoking, and do not accept hen/stag/party groups. At least one guest must be over 25 years old.

Please note Wi-Fi at this property is complimentary.

Please arrange your arrival with the property manager at least 24 hours before arrival.

Check in is from 4pm, and check out is before 11am.

Beautiful home in a brilliant location.This is a wonderful property in a quiet location, providing a very peaceful base to visit the historic city. Boasts a large lounge, two decent sized double bedrooms, comfy beds, and a great bathroom with walk in shower. Everything was functional, the well kitted out kitchen was a pleasant surprise, with a utility to boot. Couldn’t have really been bettered.

Ein kleiner Spaziergang zu den nĂ€chsten Restaurants ( ca. 10 Minuten ) und in die Innenstadt ( ca. 20 Minuten), dafĂŒr abends sehr ruhig. Man braucht also kein Auto. Sehr gerĂ€umig, etwas Ă€ltere Ausstattung, aber alles vorhanden.

Beautiful Property- great stay

We had a great time at this property. Karen the property manager was amazing. She quickly accommodated us for a late check in. The place was clean and so cute. The location was good. It was about a 25 minute walk to downtown or a quick Uber or cab. We did both. There ante also markets and cafes within a 5 minute walk. The apartment was so cozy and had some big beautiful front windows so we could watch it snow on our last day! Would definitely stay again if we come back!!

We recently enjoyed a wonderful stay at main door, ground floor flat in Marchmont, Edinburgh. It provided everything we could have needed or wanted from a stay. We enjoyed time in the private back garden, used the desk area as our home office and had lovely evenings cooking in the fully equipped kitchen and relaxing in the stunning living room. The bedrooms are well proportioned and it had all the extras like hair dryers, additional towels, etc that we could have wished for. We booked to stay again! Thank you for the wonderful first stay.

Disappointing

The heating was not on when we arrived about 8pm. Property manager attempted to guide us over the phone to reset the boiler and thermostat. After about an hour, we were advised that there were extra blankets available and a plumber would be around at 8am the next morning
 no hot water until issue repaired. Finally, able to get system working after 10pm. Next day after returning to home - same issue with the boiler. Had to reset yet again. Inadvertently closed the bedroom door and were locked in. Could have been disastrous in an emergency. Finally had to ask a passerby for assistance through the window!

Property was a great central location to tour around Edinburgh. Minute walks to food, grocery stores and a gigantic park The Meadows. We were there for the REMT and was a short drive or walk to the castle. Home was bright and cheery with all the necessities.

Very nice apartment with unfortunately small mistakes

The apartment is very large with nicely cut rooms and the location is great and close to the city. Car parking is difficult, but with 10 minutes by foot still possible in long term. Corridor and bathroom are in need of renovation and the bed mattress in the master-bedroom is really a disaster. Due to bad painting work on all windows of the unit, they can not be opened at the moment - not a nice condition. Living room, kitchen, the small terrace and the decor are great and compensate a bit the above mistakes.

Spacious, warm, clean, great room layout, amenities, equipment. Just lovely to return to after a day out & about. Great kitchen: very well equipped. Loved the drying rack for laundry! Excellent location: straight forward walk via Lothian road into the CBD.
